I do have to stand up and own it....I've been a major Howie basher here (more often than not, I have said some nice things about him too) but this past draft class is shaping up to be probably his best given the small sample size.

Rd 1: Derek Barnett (showing major flashes in a rotational role)
Rd 2: Sidney Jones (hasn't played a down yet but a lot of promise)
Rd 3: Rasul Douglas (started since Darby went down in Week 1 and has been pretty solid)
Rd 4: Mack Hollins (Has been integrated more and more each week and exploded a bit last night, probably a starter on one side next season)
Rd 4: Donnell Pumphrey (On IR....??????)
Rd 5: Shelton Gibson (He is on the roster but stinks so bad pick).
Rd 5: Nate Gerry (Has been hurt but with Hicks going down last night, should start getting some playing time).
Rd 6: Elijah Qualls (Has been inactive the past few weeks just because of DL depth but plays well when he gets to).

I'm so excited to see Sidney Jones play and I hope he lives up to my expectations

 

Same. I'm not sure they are going to let him play this year or not just to err on the side of caution but I think he could go. They could use the help. He tweeted out a few cryptic things two weeks ago about being activated off the PUP but they were all deleted so I am guessing someone got into his ear about it.

It just sucks because the rate of athletes with Achilles injuries doing the same thing to their OTHER side is high within 5 years.

Panthers are 6th in rushing attempts and 19th in rushing yards. Ryan Kalil being out is a factor but that’s still awful. This week Rivera said the running game has been “fine” and they need to get back to being a power running/physical offense. Great.

It’s clear him and Shula have no clue how to best utilize the talent on the team.

 

I've finally come around to the fact that they should get rid of them also, I wasn't sure before but after watching them this year I am in agreement with you panthers folks now. I thought you were just exaggerating a bit before but I get it now.

 

Saying that Sunday's game came down to three plays really shouldve been the tipping point

 

They should definitely can their staff but I also don't think they are "holding them back" that much either. They aren't a very good team.

 

Steve Wilks can stay. Shula should get canned and Rivera too if he won't budge.

 

I know Dre got murdered by that Bell stiff arm but more impressive was his immediate bounce up. It's like he practices getting murdered all week

 

The team isn’t super talented overall but there are a couple star-like players on each side of the ball that are capable of carrying the weak links.

 

Am I crazy for saying I’d be open to hiring Josh McDaniels?
