i saw two of those last night. one dude with one was standing right next to me whole show. almost slapped him several times. somehow he knew all the words to every science fiction song tho.

 

Red hats are forever ruined for me. Every time I am out and I see one I always look to see if it's a MAGA hat. IMO, it's practically like wearing fucking nazi propaganda at this point.

 

I work at UCSD and parking is a nightmare. Took me an hour and a half to find parking one day. Not sure if that's where you go but considering every San Diego university is over-enrolled I'm sure it's bad everywhere.

 

A. No, you're wrong and this is fact. What do you eat on your french fries? Ketchup? You're from Chicago man gtfo with that. Plain? Even worse. Milkshake? Sure, but you can't do that every time.

B. Mean, but I once felt this way... until I tried it.

red hat aside theres something really fucking selfish about demanding grown men play songs they wrote in high school. like if i was in a band that got big when i was 18 id probably have broken that shit up and started a new one by now just so i wouldnt be tied to that stuff forever lol.

 

Really enjoying this Movements band. @teebs41 good call you were right and the best part is their album comes out tomorrow!

 

They were so good! New songs crushed live, even though they seemed maybe a little nervous playing those still. And of course all the old stuff sounded great too. Although it just felt so small coming 2 days after Brand New, but that's not their fault haha

Yea I kind of wish Chicago was seated to be honest. Even though I didn't actually have a bad experience with the crowd (probably in part because I was far enough back), it just seems like the show is suited for a sit down theater.

honestly the best brand new i saw was the spring 2015 with circa, i was seated on the balcony and it was unreal. as i get older seated shows or hitting the balcony has become the best choice.

 

wearing as a joke or to be ironic is worse IMO, because it means you probably don't support him but just want to try and be funny in a way that offends a lot of people whether you know it or not.

 

It is kind of sad that anytime I see a red hat now with white text I assume it's a Trump hat OR a hat making a joke of the "Make America _ again"

Yeah I was standing like 12-15 people behind that guy. I had the urge all night to rush up and flip it off of his head.

I can only assume his name is Tyler Wood and he sent an email shortly after the show with a modest proposal.

 

Yea they played Metro and it's something a little over 1,000, but there was probably like 800 people there. Just weird to go from that much production and such a noteworthy concert (seeing Brand New songs from their first album in 8 years) to just a barebones performance. But again, not Citizen's fault at all and didn't make it bad.

And got ya. I should've caught that one, but I've never really listened to them.
