I don't think anything on Sink or Swim is going to "murder" anything left in this bracket. Either of the SoS songs in this round would lose to "The Spirit of Jazz" or "The Patient Ferris Wheel" is the match-ups were different.

Both of these were hard. All four are top teir gaslight songs.

But "Stay hungry stay free and do the best that you can" is as close to the ethos of gaslight as you're gonna get and Spirit of Jazz is such an underrated gem

"Spirit of Jazz" is my 2nd favorite off American Slang. Plus seeing as how I will always have a soft spot for The Bouncing Souls, Pete & Bryan's guest spot in that song make it that much more awesome

The bit where they do the chorus but cut it off so its like "Was I good, to you, the wife of my youth? Not another soul can love you like m... BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM":hearteyes::hearteyes:

also never knew Pete and Bryan had guest vox on that song. makes it even better.

    Yup! They're singing the "so i'm waiting!....and she's waiting!...ahhhhh!!!!" In the pre-choruses

That part is definitely the best part of the song.

Jazz and Diner are my favorites off each of those albums, it would be such a bummer if they both lost.

I relistened to American Slang yesterday, first time in awhile. Still think it's my favorite. Just absolutely love the vibe of that album. Somehow every song sounds like TGA but also sounds like they belong on that album but would not fit on the others, if that makes any sense.
