Finally a bracket with a band I care about!

 

Don’t Call It A Comeback- I just Love a nice quick hard hitting song sometimes.

Indoor Living- neither are favorites of mine. This one hits me just a tad more.

My Favorite Accident-the song that made me want to check out the band. Hits so damn hard.

Boom box Generation-they opened with this song the first time I saw them. Plus it just rocks.

A-Ok- never understood why Future was so beloved. Again, neither are a favorite, so I’ll vote for the underdog.

This is awful and I regret half my picks already.

 

In terms of the IATM songs that are super high-energy/aggressive, "Don't Call It A Comeback" is toward the top. But I'd listen to "Modern Chemistry" before it nine times out of ten.

This is a heartbreaker but "Indoor Living" is top ten MCS songs ever material.

Look, I like "My Favorite Accident," it's a solid song. But I've never had the connection to it the way a lot of other fans seem to. "Mary Without Sound," though? I've always had an almost inexplicable amount of love for that song, it's just got so many little moments that I love. I love Justin's vocals on it, I love the melody, I love the moog line, I love Tony's drumming on it. Just a great tune.

This one is easy, "Capital H" by a lot.

I had to leave this one til the end cause woof, this is the toughest of them all. One is essential MCS, the other is tied for third place of MCS Closers. But, I mean, it just has to be "The Future Freaks Me Out," right? Great, now I'll be thinking about this all night.

I actually wasn't a huge fan of "Perfect Teeth" until I heard Limbeck's cover of it. For me, that's the definitive version of the song. Makes it an easy win for "Red Dress" which I have always loved. The back-up vocals on "it HANGS! DOWN! FRONT!" and "with Stars and Stripes" make me smile.

I don't think I ever listened to this band, but I will try to participate in this. Maybe I'll find a new band I like. I might miss some rounds though if I don't have time to listen to the songs.

The only difficult one for me was 'Future...'/'A-Ok' although 'Accident'/'Mary' was also a little tricky on second thought too.

Jamming I Am the Movie now. I've actually found this one to be my go to MCS over the last month.

The one-two punch of Cambridge->Shiver gets me every time.

 

CTTM is their strongest overall album for me. But I adore some songs from EIIKM and MDL a lot.

 

I'll try to participate as much as I can. I will be running the Thrice bracket in parallel to this (it will start after Silverstein ends so probably next Monday. I will avoid starting it on the weekend)

 

Hahhaa I love them all a ton. I would call CTTM my favorite, but there's really not a song I straight up don't like on any of their albums.

CTTM and Go are definitely the most well rounded as albums, while there's something about how Eiikm and MDL flow that makes them more like collections of amazing songs.

 

The pink variant sold out pretty quickly yesterday. There is still a black version up if anyone was still wanting a copy.
