Browns are in a can't miss position and I cannot wait to see how they fuck it up.

I don't understand why the hell you'd want Darnold anywhere near #1 OVR. I just don't understand the hype with him. He's been bad more than good this year in my viewings.

This QB class in general just isn't doing anything for me.

 

Browns traded #2 in 2016 (Wentz) and received #12 last year as part of the deal

Cleveland then traded #12 (Watson) to the Texans and received a 2018 1st

Yeah. Darnold is kind of iffy there. Everything is cyclical.

He’ll probably stay and will be a 4th rounder in 2019.

Browns somehow end up at 3 and take Saquon Barkley, who later gets traded to the Colts for a 2019 1st. (He fails there.)

With their second pick, they’ll have to go the Quinn route with a young, attractive QB (I’ll go Falk or Mayfield) who sucks. But wait for 2020 or 2021 when we’ll see former MLB prospect Donavan Tate coming into the draft as a 28-year-old QB from Arizona.

 

I genuinely do think it’s just the organization. I don’t think Wentz or Watson would be what they are if they were in Cleveland. No one misses on QBs at the level Cleveland does (Texans haven’t drafted many QBs, Vikings had a freak injury to their main project, etc.), it’s hard to believe that not one of their QBs they’ve drafted is at least a serviceable to low end franchise QB.

 

Falk is another one you shouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. He's going to go the same way as Connor Halliday (former WSU QB). Gaudy stats benefiting from Mike Leach's air raid offense partnered with the fact that Falk already has 4-5 diagnosed concussions in his playing career.

He is not going to last long, if at all....

 

It won't happen but I just want Jake Browning to enter the draft and get out of my sight....go off and get your coaching career started already.

 

It’s the organization, but it’s always a different front office each year. haha

For this one, I don’t blame them for the Wentz/Watson trades. (Yes, same front office on these years.) Last year, you really saw how little talent they actually had, so acquiring more picks was a solid move. We’ll see how it finally shakes out with this draft, but I feel like, again, the main problem has been coaching.

For the FO, the only complaint is WRs signings. Luckily, Britt is easier to get rid of after one year. Pryor might not have even been great to keep since he’s not exactly dominating with a solid QB passing him the ball. Otherwise, the FO has had some solid drafts, signings and trades. (How did we even get a 5th for Cam Erving?)

 

Exactly. I didn’t like Quinn in college, but they still went after him. I really think we’ll get some serious failures at QB in this draft. So many teams need one and the first round should be crazy.

You’re welcome to get in on this conversation. We’re talking teams that can’t draft a good QB and Leftwich, Gabbert and Bottles is a good argument, especially since all were given a ton of time to “develop.”
