this is why i dont go to shows much anymore, nonetheless by myself since i never feel my age but i see it in the world sense. ill be 60 with however year old kids thinking im 20 lol.

 

Don't let that stop you :) honestly, everyone at shows just looks at their phone over breaks and stuff, and they're probably feeling weird as well! I've been to a few shows where I'm clearly the youngest person there, and I've been to some metal shows where I feel out of place but the music is way more important to me than feeling nervous. It's not so bad though, usually people will look out for me and just ask me how I got into the band. Just enjoy shows for as long as you can!

Nada Surf was really cool. Their drummer is a treat to watch live. So many facial expressions and mannerisms.

I won’t have a chance to post again until I get home, and I am fully expecting to melt into a giant puddle before the show is over, so it was nice knowing everyone!

Oh I’m used to going to shows alone haha I’m not gonna let it stop me! My wife debated on going but it would’ve been extra money for a ticket and a babysitter and she doesn’t know much of their material so she sat this one out.

The opening band, Best Coast, just finished and they were very enjoyable!

 

I wish my team could lose games by only 3 points...

 

This venue is pretty amazing

I gotta save up money to hit up every single CA date that they have next year. I feel like I'm missing out that I'm not at this show!

 

the one thing that the west coast has on the east coast: traveling from city to city is so much less of a hassle, california eats up so much lol.

 

So I was just waiting in line for a beer and two guys behind me are talking about Brand New.

I turned around and was like uhhh actually their tour starts tonight about three hours away from here haha

 

Haha, good! Best Coast are a cool band. I might spin After Laughter on vinyl today, let us know how the show goes!

 

I almost wish they would just get blown out every game so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

hate to be morbid but this happened to me one time on the opposite side at a wrestling show and someone mentioned "what happened to Mr. Perfect? yada yada" and I was young at the time and turned back to them and sad "Sadly he died a few months back" ._.

awkward ways to connect. as morbid as that was an introduction, they were super cool rest of the show

 

I see what you’re saying...but I would like to at least be entertained and the Browns don’t do that at all.
