Does anyone miss the track jacket trend for band merch from like 2005-2009ish?

 

I miss Dear and the Headlights.

 

We out here except I’m by myself so is it “me out here?”

 

Oh man. I would love some track jackets!!

 

Yeah I grew up with like 90s emo when I was in elementary school and I’d say Relationship Of Command and Full Collapse we’re integral albums for me to transition into like more hardcore music

 

I wish bands still sold them! They were my go to merch purchased. I had Underoath, Thrice, alexisonfire, Thursday and Rocket Summer track jackets that dominated my highschool fall/winter wardrobe haha

 

I put my girl on to FJM the other day, she liked him. I hope I can take her to a show one day.

Anybody here like Dead Poetic? I was thinking about them a couple days ago. They were pretty fun for a couple of years.

 

I listened to them a long time ago. wasn't terrible I think .

I was pretty into them in the 2002-2004 timeframe.

Saw them on some tours with Anberlin, MWY, Norma Jean, etc. and I thought (still think) they were pretty good.

I miss show lineups from back then. You could get a really random lineups. I remember seeing Armor For Sleep, Halifax and From Autumn to Ashes back then.

 

That opening track goes HARD. I love it! My fave song on there is Lake Superior though.

Every now and then there’s a tour with some semi-random lineups still. The TBS/ETID/All Get Out tour from this summer comes to mind. I kinda like diverse lineups (speaking here in terms of music style/type) but I understand why they aren’t more common.

I went to that Copeland show in Michigan. Man, what a lineup. I’d love to see that one again

 

I'd marry either of them in a heart beat, but I don't think any of our wives would be cool with that.

 

Hahahaha I went to these same shows in Utah! Wasn’t that Starting Line show the “Screaming is for babies tour”? Haha man I’m super nostalgic for the mid 2000’s tonight. Missing the track jackets and lineups super hardcore

Coolest part was we were broke back then so I emailed the drummer from Gatsbys told him what we were doing and he put us on the list for the show in San Antonio, then at the show we talked to him and told him we were going to see the other shows the next few days and he texted the drummer from Matchbook Romance and got us in for that show too.


He would have gotten us into the Thursday one too but we already had tickets.

Saved us some money to spend on merch.
