A point at Anfield in this fixture is a good point. Continue to take care of the smaller sides, like we seem to finally be doing this year, and I’ll be happy. History shows that Mou will be a little more attacking against top sides when they come to visit as well.

curious to see how arsenal manage to fuck up when all the big sides drop points

The way City are playing, there’s going to be 5 teams fighting for 2nd.

So we recently went to Birmingham who hadn’t won in 6 and lost. Today we went to Bolton who had lost 8 on the bounce without scoring... and lost.

    Time to sack Carlos.

Chelsea's squad sucks. Morata & Kante out & they're up shit creek, losing to a team who literally hadn't scored a single goal before today. Lowest point since the Arsenal defeat last season, should never, ever be losing that game.

Good discussion about United too. Mourinho meticulously plans his whole seasons, knowing games where 1 point is enough, rather than risk 0 points while going for 3 - I remember watching this documentary about him that showed a genuine team meeting at Chelsea where he was stressing that "we don't have to win, but we CANNOT lose", and you can guess this Liverpool game was one of those type of scenarios. It all adds up over 38 games and IMO United genuinely have a chance to finish 1st this year, Chelsea and Spurs don't look like they've got what it takes to truly challenge them and City.

  15. Next 8 games for Spurs:

    (CL) Madrid (A)
    (PL) Liverpool (H)
    (CC) WHam (H)
    (PL) United (A)
    (CL) Madrid (H)
    (PL) Palace (H)
    (PL) Arsenal (A)
    (CL) Dortmund (A)

Outside of West Ham and Palace that’s a brutal stretch.

City are going to run away with the league, mainly because every other team is shit.

Also, that Xhaka defending does not get any better on multiple viewings. He is trying his best though and that's all we can ask.

  21. Everton definitely know how to play soccer I promise

That Brighton centre back should be banned for a long long long time. Classic Michael Oliver though giving him a yellow so he escapes punishment. Wonderful refereeing. Wonderful rules.
