Lately I've been wishing I wrote The Night Game-Once in a lifetime. Can't stop listening to that song, haha.

 

You know what? Completely unrelated. I was actually searching around wondering if Emerson had anything released anywhere and googling "Emerson band" returned zero results, probably because of my locality, and then I just noticed your profile picture, and so I am now listening to your album on Spotify.

 

Oh awesome dude! Hope you like it. Every song varies between leaning more towards the rock side and more towards the pop side. Lemme know what you think!

I don't have anything officially released yet. Working on it. Probably early 2018 at this stage, but no guarantees.

Balance @Jesse West - Damn, this is a cool track. Definitely has an unsettling vibe to it, between the guitars and the different vocal styles used. Those high pitched background vocals remind me a lot of Jesse Lacey's high pitched croon.

Elected @cbaksa & @colemanbright - Oh man, when that chorus come in I was instantly sold. You've got that loud/quiet dynamic perfected here. The guitar solo in the bridge is awesome and then the change up of the lead guitar in the final chorus is a nice change up to keep things interesting. Awesome song.

You Give Yourself Too Much Attention @TedSchmosby - Right off the bat, I love the stripped down/lo-fi feel of the song. The synths playing lightly over the guitars and vocals add a nice fullness to the sound too. And then it's even better when that xylophone comes in. The ending with the guitar picking up is a great way to close it out. This is an excellent song and a great way to close out the comp. Well done.

I really enjoyed everyone's submissions! Thanks again to @bradsonemanband for continuing to put these together. This one must have been hard as hell to sequence. 57 tracks! It's so awesome, I can't believe it.

 

Thanks a lot, sir. I like the xylophone too. I started on this lo-fi journey because all I had to record with was my phone, but now I kind of like it. I've got to put out a few Lifteds before I get to my I'm Wide Awake it's Morning. Also I've got to buy equipment and learn how to use it. But for now I'll pretend the lo-fi is solely a creative decision
