Honestly the saddest part of all of this is seeing Tom at his absolute fattest.

I'm happy for him. He's clearly passionate about this and has been chasing it for years. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt with this. This seems incredibly ambitious, but there's a passion behind it with credible board members. If this ends up being full disclosure, the benefits it would have on society, science, and culture would be tremendous. Maybe it's the dreamer in me but I hope this works out.

I felt like i was at Sunday mass watching that. A lot of statements.... a lot of nothing?

    I'm watching his press conference.

What I still cannot understand is why would these senior officers of the department of defense leave their positions to join a musician with a failing resume of entrepreneurship skills on a business idea to build a spaceship and make movies about aliens?

Like...if these secrets are real, wouldn't the government say "hey guys, can you not do that" and threaten their livelihood???

    It makes literally zero sense.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

I've been wondering the same. How did he talk these people into this.

"We are going to release never before seen video from government systems. Not blurry amateur video, but real data." - Luis something

But.....why would the government let you do this? If you just left your high secrecy government job, why would they give you secret videos to just share for another business? That isn't how life works.

The guy who looks like Vince McMahon's whole speech was a giant riddle saying if someone could think up GPS in 1976, then they can build a spaceship.

But like, WHY is this spaceship better than the ones that actually already exist and don't force me to pay $200 for it to happen?

Not too mention the absurd amount of research and money that would be required to somehow build these flux capacito.... i mean space ship(s). I really doubt you'll be seeing a return on your investment here....

"It can only happen with YOU in the public realm. So invest today and be apart of the future."

Hmmm. If these "very important and senior government officers" really thought this project was imperative, why the fuck can it only happen with people donating money? Wouldn't they have started working on it years back and not relying on essentially a GoFundMe for it to happen?

I'm done with my rant for now haha. I admire Tom's ambition to find creative and unique ways to steal his fans' money, but please anyone here think for like 3 minutes before giving him $200.

Oh absolutely man - fully agree. I'm just saying all things considered, if a prospective shareholder was to "seriously" invest in TTSA&S, even after reviewing all relevant paperwork and documentation, that's on them; just like investing in any company that carries inherent and unknown risk does. But i feel like most people would see this as very dodgy even on the surface level and wouldn't want to be anywhere near TTSA&S, unless you are happy to gamble against some very bad odds.

I'm definitely rooting for his success, no matter how far fetched or kooky this seems and probably is. I'm a sucker for big, crazy ideas like this. Would I invest in it? Absolutely not.

  25. But that’s my fear of what’s not happening, the company itself admits to their need to use Tom’s celebrity and fan base to (continually) “fund” this endeavor. The relevant document is buried way down on their page and none off the super shady shit is ever told in the “fancy” videos. I find the disclosure lacking. And I don’t agree with the idea that it’s always “on them,” when I think someone is being taken advantage of. I have a business degree, so I know what this stuff says and means, but others are not as informed and Tom’s fame is what led to them throwing money away because (IMO) they were not well informed by the company as to the investment. It was built to hide that information from these people.

I think it’s shady. Almost like some of the shit mortgages people find themselves in from shady banks that take advantage of a process they know a lot about, and the buyer does not. That bugs me to a level beyond a personal responsibility. If someone just wants to throw 200 bucks away for fun, I’d feel better that they just PayPal the multimillionaire the money. Because none of this feels right to me. It sets of my radar and I do think people may be getting taken advantage of without knowing it. Instead much of it is set up as a Tom piggy bank. He has guarantees for fees and paybacks and all sorts of things I don’t think a good actor/business would employ.
