Convinced only by the fact that had McDonalds made enough sauce, they would have made a shitton of money during that day. Instead, cops were called, workers were threatened and McDonalds customer service probably got death threats.

I'm also glad you, too, cut off the 2nd part of the copypasta because when I posted it on here about Tool I felt uncomfortable even joking with the 2nd part and left it off hahaha

  3. Yeah, the joke works just fine without having to spread even more toxicity around. \

It makes Brand New fans look tame.

i've seen so many people lately going out of their way to actively call it a bad show without even watching it, while obviously not as bad as the people causing actual harm and harassment to others it's still pretty bad

reminds me of the people who always make sure everyone knows they aren't watching the super bowl

this has been going on for months, even before the season started

Do you mean "Rick and Morty" fans being shitty? Because I agree with that.

The show is funny and sharp, but good lord. The most vocal section of its fanbase is an embarrassment.

Pretty much. These are the same fans that threw tantrums when the show (finally) brought on women writers for the new season despite the fact that there had been episodes that pretty directly addressed sexism and misogyny.

the fans, yes. but i'm also talking about the people who go on facebook regularly and are like "RICK AND MORTY ISN'T GOOD!" the anti-fanbase that exists solely because of the super fans is unnecessary.

I agree with that too. it's like Tool fans or really vocal atheists - just makes you ashamed to be associated with either because of the loud, dumb ones.

For me it's being a football fan. It's painful.

But yeah as a football fan I understand why people who don't watch football would look at ignorant ass fans and not want to give it a try

  11. this exchange is unreal lmao

    Might be Spider-Man...

I've still never seen the show (I don't have cable), the court case on Youtube was funny, but, I dunno.

That's me this year (being a Browns fan makes it easier) - I just can't do it and I do my best to explain to people that ask why, but I try not to be overly vocal about it. Even though it wasn't a good movie, "Concussion" was my tipping point.

  15. When your favorite football team keeps doing super shitty stuff (fucking John Elway) it makes it easier to be honest. I've watched one game all year and only cause it was on when I happened to be in the gym.

I struggle with it a lot, I love the sport way too much. And I hate the people who run the show, and so many of people involved in the show, and the brain damage that can be caused by the show. But I try so hard to watch other sports and it just feels...unfulfilling. I keep finding myself wanting to watch football and keep up with football and learn more about football. Even though I know I shouldn't be supporting an industry like that

Not knowing anything about this, I expected to Google Rick and Morty to discover a morning radio show.

    Haha, same.

I enjoy the show, but I don't try to impose my tastes on others, their opinions don't impact me whatsoever. That said, whenever I hear people say "this show is the worst, why does everyone like it?", I can't help but think of all the people who proudly declare "I'm happy to say I've never seen an episode of Game of Thrones". Self-serving more often than not. Just my two cents.

  21. Yeah, totally get that.

(I'm about done with ESPN too. Assholes.)

Sometimes, and I'm really speaking for myself because I know the general public is annoying, people genuinely want to know what others see in it. There'll be people like me who see no reason to like it based on the imagery of the show, clips of the show, etc. but they keep hearing others rave about it and it makes them wonder what it is, they wanna be drawn in somehow because they want to "get it".

Let's be honest, while Rick and Morty is enjoyable for some of us here, Bojack Horseman is still much better. :-)

That's the weird thing too haha, I haven't felt a reason to watch R&M but instantly got sucked into Bojack

Makes total sense, and I understand that there are people legitimately perplexed by the obsession. And yeah, obsessed fans kinda make others take it less seriously than they normally would. However I have 3 separate friends who have made multiple posts trashing the show. At some point their disdain stopped being a passing opinion and started being a hobby.

I'm not even done with season 1 of Bojack and I can tell it's a far superior show to R&M.
