I love broccoli too!

 

Tonight is going to be swell.

If Brand New gave us something to drink out of before they break up, I'll have enough band glasses for the whole family. Fingers crossed.

 

Me too. It gets a bad rap.

 

Brussel sprouts are god-like though

 

Especially with bacon and mushrooms!

Also, pro-tip for any of these "bitter" green veggies (broccoli, brussels sprouts, kale, etc.) add a dash of vinegar when cooking them. It brings out some sweetness.

 

steamed broccoli is good. raw broccoli is trash. almost all fruit is delicious except for coconuts.

Raw broccoli with ranch or cooked broccoli are both great.

I used to HATE broccoli when I was a kid though. One time my aunt asked what I wanted for my birthday and listed out a few joke "ideas". One of the things she said was broccoli so I looked at her super seriously and told her I didn't want broccoli for my birthday. She got me the broccoli anyway as a joke, and when I opened it I got real mad, threw the broccoli, and told her "I thought I told you NOT to get me broccoli".

I was a really charming kid, apparently. (But I was only like 5 so I cut myself some slack).

 

Whether or not you enjoy brussel sprouts is like literally a genetic thing, like there’s a scientific reason. I do not enjoy them.

@Yasqueen4 i just did a google search and there is at least one Jack in the Box in the Chicago. They are seriously everywhere in California so I just assumed they were ubiquitous

 

Steam the broccoli a bit to soften it up and sautee it in butter and with garlic until it starts to char.

 

Raw broccoli is not good. I can tolerate it in a salad if it's chopped tiny though. I won't eat it by itself or with a dip though.
