I'm halfway through my season 2 rewatch and man it's still so impressive how this thing really managed to keep the quality up following the events at the end of the first season. Can't wait for Wednesday.

 

I was watching Gilmore Girls yesterday, and young Rami Malek was a nice surprise.

 

'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Premiere 'Leaked' Early At ECoin Launch Party And Fans Lost Their Minds

The entire night was staged as a luxurious gala, thrown in celebration of E Corp’s revolutionary new cryptocurrency platform and bitcoin competitor, ECoin. Terminal 5 was transformed from the outside in, all lush blue velvet curtains and unfeeling, focus-group floral arrangements splattered with the E Corp logo.

But there were levels to the immersive nature of the event, far deeper than visual branding: Fans initially had no idea that the caterers, security, and crew, as well a substantial percentage of Gala attendees and even the band, were all hired actors. Over the course of the night, specially selected guests would be pulled from the party for 'secret missions.' The lucky ones were led to a blacked-out school bus where they received instructions and a mask from fsociety, where one such mission involved stealing an object from E Corp CEO Phillip Price’s green room.

 

I would probably be very freaked out if I attended that lol

 

That's amazing, goddamn that would've been exciting to experience.

 

I'm not home from work yet, but my wife texted me that a box came and she opened it and it was the mask.

 

It feels like this show was created purely as a vehicle for wacky marketing ideas haha.

Yeah it's looking like what's going on in Washington Township is either going to be time travel or parallel universes/access to the multiverse.

 

Can't wait to see where all these new plot threads go. Lot of interesting directions are possible from here, that's for sure. And not just whatever the hell is going on at that nuclear power plant.

 

Very good premiere, set up a lot of REALLY interesting things to explore throughout the season (Elliot vs. Mr Robot, Darlene working with the FBI?, maybe a touch of time travel?!). Can't wait to see where this goes.

 

Feel like if this was season 2 Elliot would've been in bed recovering for 5 episodes, before we find out he just imagined it in the fraction of a second before Tyrells bullet actually hits him

Also there's no way this show actually goes time traveling/alternate realities. That would be jumping over a planet of sharks.

 

agreed. I trust Esmail a lot based these past two seasons, but I still think there's no way he could pull that off.

 

Is something still jumping the shark if it was planned all along from day one? I feel like jumping the shark is more when a show's writers run out of ideas, don't know what else to do, and pull something ridiculous out of their asses.

You're not wrong, but this show seems to pride itself on being grounded (at least when it comes to technology). I don't think all the references to time travel/alternate realities are literal. I will be very bummed if Elliot starts jumping through portals (and again, that's not going to happen.)

 

finally got to watch the premiere, almost did a spit take at the Soylent joke

So hyped for this season. Was expecting Darlene to be where she was, wasn't expecting things with Angela to turn out how they did.

Fuck me. I love this show, but I also kind of hate it. Beautiful cinematography and needle drops as usual
