I guess I just got redumped by someone who I wasn't "officially" in a relationship to begin with. We lived together as friends first. We were together for about 6 months then broke up and moved to different rooms but that line was slowly blurred and we have been basically together for a collective 2 years. The rest of my year is planned around this person, including a vacation that starts Monday. I'm a complete mess even though I've known things haven't been good for a while but I still put 100% into this and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do from this point. I also don't WANT to do anything. I know I shouldn't feel like this but it's real hard.

 

This didn't end up happening, then we were supposed to go see IIOI/TWIABP and that didn't happen. Then we were supposed to see Basement/Turnstile and that didn't happen, but she just texted me and we're gonna get some slushies in like two hours. idk

 

Slushie date. Classic.

 

I don't think I've ever had a legit slushie. Icee's are not the same thing, right?

I see a thread coming... first are Blizzard's a milkshake, then are hot dogs sandwiches, next will be are Icee's a slushie?

I think icees and slushed are different. And blizzards and milkshakes are different. It's been ages since I've had a blizzard but I'm guessing you eat them and shakes you drink.

 

I think slushees are more... slushee. Like they're easier to drink to me whereas icees are more solid and sometimes you have to wait for them to melt to drink more. Idk not too much of a difference tho

 

As a fellow 24 year old in the area, I agree. It's a bummer.

 

Who has read Aziz's Modern Romance book and how did it make you feel about your current situation?

 

I'm about to start it today, got it for Christmas but haven't taken the time to begin

He has some good tips for online dating in the book. Fun read. I actually went to his book tour and had the chance to talk with him briefly. He told me he would find it extremely hard to meet women if it wasn't for his fame, so he felt fortunate in that sense.

 

My partner has a date tonight. This means I get to finish my re-watch of Hannibal.

 

There's a guy I kinda have an interest in. How do you tell if a guy is just really shy? I'm awkward and oblivious. Not like I'd make a move, but I would up my flirting. haha

 

How frequent are you chatting? (And how personal are the convos? Any info might be helpful)

 

Um well... We kinda only talk at work. But that's how things started out with this one guy I worked with like 3 years ago. I don't text first or anything. He's complimented a few times so far and I don't really get compliments like that from guys, so.... Idk. Maybe he's just a really nice guy

 

I can't stand wondering whether someone is interested or nice so I always go with the latter.

 

Is he the same way with your other co-workers? That's one way of figuring out if he's into you or just being nice.
