Pretty interesting. It's always been one of my least favorites from the album. Bloodbuzz Ohio makes a lot of sense as a popular choice to me though.

Yeah I love that song, and Fake Empire. Being Australian I'm able to separate Fake Empire from being 'the Obama song' and just enjoy it for what it is. Guessing it took on a new life in the States.

Also I prefer the Terrible Love alternate version.

I think that Fake Empire, Terrible Love, Bloodbuzz OH, and Don't Swallow the Cap are the ones that will always appear in a live set. Maybe add Mr. November. I'd bet that I'll Still Destroy You is the big staple from this record.

Bloodbuzz was what got me into the band but England is what blew me away.

Fake Empire or any of the last 3 on Gatah the true contenders for best song, doesn't shock me that Bloodbuzz is beloved though.

I always associated Obama w/ Mr. November more than Fake Empire.

I guess Turtleneck is "the Trump song."

I really wish I'd had the money to buy tickets to the last of the London shows, all my friends went and said it was the best live show they've ever been to. Glad I saw them last year, but still.

Dark Side of tye Gym is such a stupid name that I almost decided not to listen to it

    it is lovely

the key line is "for a while"

the fact he adds those words to "and I'm going to keep you in love with me" makes it perfect

glad to find these guys after like 3 records that didn't really make me feel anything

Lol apparently when they played Secret Meeting the other night, Matt dedicated it to Jared Kushner.

The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness is in the new FIFA game, got me listening to the whole album and it's phenomenal, definitely in my top 5 for the year at the very least. Hopefully gets more people listening to this too!

I'm really stoked to be seeing them tomorrow. It'll be the first band I've seen more than once.

When I think of the band I’ve seen the most times, it’s A7X and I don’t even know why that is. I’m not a fan of them but they’ve played like 4 shows where I went to see other bands.

  19. Mine's probably Margot & the Nuclear So and Sos. Or maybe Kevin Devine.

Seeing the National for the fourth time Saturday and am extremely stoked about it. And it will be five by the end of the year.

Nice. I’ve only seen them once and I’m hoping to change that. I saw them play at the first year of Eaux Claires. From my understanding it wasn’t there best performance, but there sure was something magical about watching them play in a field surrounded by glowing trees.

Saw them tonight for the 11th time. They were good, by Matt flubbed a handful of lines and you could tell it ruined his night. The crowd was also a little less energetic than usual. Still worth the price of admission though! Bummed they don’t always do the Vanderlyle set closer anymore.
