Ehh I guess, I guess I'm not happy with the pick because CJ Prosise and Braxton Miller were on the board.

Honestly if you ask me about the draft losers so far my answer is definitely the Rams and Eagles. They gave away so many day two picks, in a draft with so many day two steals, for QBs that could easily flop (Rams because it's a bad situation for Goff; Eagles just because Wentz isn't there yet mentally, and the jump in level of competition.). I do not see them coming out of this draft with anything close to the 8 teams I mentioned up there who all did really well with value.

Dickie V is the worst.

 

That's something I keep thinking. That offense is NOT a good place to thrust a day 1 starter into. A team who is "one QB away" can afford to make that trade, the Rams, well, aren't.

 

Holy fuck Dick Vitale is insufferable.

 

For the best college kicker of all time

He never missed below 40, only missed once between 40-50, and never missed an XP (way rarer than you would think - only 5 other college kickers EVER have had 100% accuracy on XPs).

When you put it in perspective, the only kicker prospect in the last 30 years that comes close is Sebastian Janikowski and he was a first rounder. Being the best at something tends to inflate value no matter what position it is.

 

75 teams looked hard at that guy, I'm guessin he plays safety or something.

 

I will say, even if our picks haven't been "best value" or whatever, I love the change of pace in our aggression. Even though they were small trades, doing two trades up to grab a guy we really want feels nice, opposed to missing out on Tyler Lockett and others like last year.

 

I dont care if the kicker literally never misses, you dont trade up for one in the 2nd round

A lot of people like to reference the running game and defense and how it takes pressure on him, I'm like great the dude never took a 5 step drop in college and has to learn that timing and footwork and technique behind one of the league's worst offensive lines. He also has no jump ball or go to receivers to chuck the ball to when things get bad in the pocket. Just looks like sacks, fumbles, and interceptions from being rushed and being so confident in his timing at the slower-reacting college level to me.

 

I think the Rams are much worse off than the Eagles, honestly. Wentz at least will sit for a year or two, which mitigates his current negatives a ton. Goff will be thrown to the wolves right away.
