Its one of those movies that was so criticized when it first came out, but is now a cult classic.

 

I've watched it the last two Octobers. It's a very weird movie but very seasonally appropriate

Roommate and I kicked it off at 2 this morning with The Innkeepers

 

My partner at work wanted to watch Nightmare Before Christmas last night during some down time, so I suppose I started with that. I think I’m going to knock out Gerald’s Game tonight.

 

I was actually thinking I might watch that tonight, too.

 

Solid reviews and the thumbs up from multiple people in here has my interest piqued.

 

I'm going to wait until later in the month to watch Nightmare and triple feature it with Coraline and Paranorman. Gerald's Game isn't an October movie for me but it is fucking brutal

Watched Gerald's Game last night, it was great. The degloving scene was bonkers.

 

What a great way to refer to that scene

 

So Neon Demon was pretty fantastic imo.

 

Lol I was struggling with how to word it. I was full on shocked, which doesn’t happen often

 

Started October off with Curse of Chucky. What a great update to the series.

 

Started October off with You're Next. Gets better with each viewing.

 

I saw the Babadook, it was different than I as expecting and it took some used to getting used to the accents, it was cool how much dread there was before the monster showed up

 

That little kid is the real monster, amirite

 

I just watched A Dark Song. Still formulating my thoughts on it but I think it was decent

 

I really really love this up until the last ten minutes or so. seeing the angel really took me out of the movie for some reason

 

Started my October off with The Devil's Candy. It wasn't necessarily what I was expecting, but I was enjoying myself right up until the house fire and that was enough to knock the overall grade down a couple of pegs.

 

Could not agree more with that spoiler

 

I only watched that movie like a month or two ago and had to look up what happened. It was ok.

 

I totally agree.

I will say that movie did a shockingly good job with making me care about the father-daughter relationship.

 

Had some insanely awesome eerie, tense, OMG moments too — that part just took me completely out of the film and ruined the ending.
