Being at work right now is awful

 

fuck, I saw Paul McCartney last night and saw armed police with bomb sniffing dogs walking around and stuff and thought what a strange sight it was, and there is a little bit of panic that sets in about the off chance that someone is armed. My panic seemed irrational last night, but not this morning. Heartbroken. I don't even want to watch video of the incident

 

God, I can't imagine watching the video. I saw just one rather obscured photo on the NYTimes article and felt sick.

 

I watched it. It was pretty terrifying.

 

From an old buddy of mine. I’ve seen him grow from a hard right-leaning Marine to a left-leaning progressive totally different person, but he was still a total fucking imbecile on gun regulation. Pretty big that he posted this.

 

I'm tired of all the posts about praying for las vegas already. Things have to change. Prayer won't change anything. It's a nice sentiment, but it does nothing.

 

I understand the sentiment but it's also better than nothing. I had a girl post a "ugh i hate fake people and drama" thing three minutes ago. Would much rather have seen #prayersforvegas

 

Fuck. Idk if I mentioned it in here but Iron Chic announced a last minute show at a hole in the wall down the road from me next Monday. Very excite, I need that shit yesterday.

 

In a positive note. I listened to a few Emerson songs and I liked them. It sounded to me like the Rocket Summer meets Avery. Which is just fantastic.

 

Avery is the name of my sister's dead cat which I can only assume is exactly what you're referring to

 

Hey, thanks man that's awesome to hear haha. My cousin says my vocals sound like TRS too, which I think is quite the compliment.

Yeah, @Mr. Serotonin. I couldn't believe how good you sounded. Emerson isn't the style of music I gravitate towards, but you do it very, very well. The first time I heard your voice, I was like holy shit, this is the dude I bullshit with about steak sauces. You should be famous or something. I am very impressed.

 

Basically my sentiments too. It's definitely more Pop than my usual tastes but I really enjoyed it alot and still get some of the songs stuck in my head after not hearing them for a long while

 

Hahah, thanks m'man. I wanna use more of a variety of instruments next time and work with an actual legit established producer. Will take time to save the $$$ for that though.

 

Haha yeah it definitely ended up more pop. I never really decide what "kind" of song i'm going to write. They just end up how they end up. We prolly had another 5 songs that were more in the vein of Money Tree/Old Friends, but they didn't quite make the cut.
