I miss my AC15

 

It’s the bestttt. Can’t see myself ever getting rid of it. I do want a Deluxe Reverb to run in stereo with it though. One day.

 

That's the amp I got now lol. I sold the AC15 but found myself in a band again and decided to try something new. The DRRI is great all around amplifier but it can't mimic the sounds I could get on the AC15.

 

Is anyone up for some crazy speculation?

Alright, so what if the Pale Waves dates will feature The 1975 opening for them under a secret name?

I mean, I can immediately think about all of the reasons this would not happen such as the focus of the tour being growing Pale Waves which might be eclipsed if The 1975 were on the bill? But, it would be a great opportunity for the boys to play smaller US venues and gain a lot of hype. I mean, I can't really picture any other band ending a tour and touring on a new album within like 4 months beside these guys?

They just posted about how they're recording album #3 now. Pretty sure that's what he's referring to.

 

Whether they play or not, who's going to the PW tour?

 

I'd love to see King Nun, another Dirty Hit band with them

 

I'd need to hear more PW songs to justify seeing them. King Nun are sick though

 

i wanna haer more pw for sure. I only got two songs and they both have the same chorus melody.

 

Looks like they’re in LA recording.

 

I just watched Spinal Tap for the first time and it nearly ruined the mystique around this band for me.

About what? It's just the date that they pulled the band name from.

Yes but they periodically use the date to do some kind of “event” for the band. Last time was the social media blackout/rebrand and they’ve been hinting that this time it might be the actual album.

 

I've said it before, but June 1, 2018 falls on a Friday...

 

Would be weird for the band to release an album at that point and not tour until the fall. Fall '18 being the date the manager said as next round of touring.

 

Not that weird. Fall might just be an extensive tour but they may play shows prior to that but plenty of artists tour months after their album release

 

What kind of venues should we expect them to play for the MFC Tour?

I've never followed a band since their first release grow this significantly in popularity so I'm kind of ignorant on what to expect.

 

Not sure about stateside but the only way up in the UK is Wembley Stadium and headlining bigger festivals (Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds). Both of which are logical and definite, the latter for sure at least.

 

I would fly out to see this.

 

i'm still betting this will be out in the spring, and they'll do the usual round of festivals in the summer and headline in the fall

 

i thought i heard out of their camp that they definitely ruled out 2018 festivals.

given if the album does come out in june, i don’t think it would be too unrealistic to see mostly 15-20k cap arenas in the US fall/ winter

 

Last time they came around they played a 17k cap in LA and a 5k cap in San Diego. I hope that happens again
