Some context behind this tie. The game ended due to light. At the time you had to replay the game if it was tied. The original game counts towards a player’s season stats but not towards the standings. So in reality the NYG did win 26 games in a row.

Anyone know when MLB will release times for the playoff games? My original thought was the earliest they'd be released is Sunday night, but now I'm thinking they may wait until after wild card games? If Yankees win AL Wild Card, I'd think MLB would want NY market in primetime whereas if MINN wins the wild card game, I'd think MLB would want Hou/Bos in primetime over Cle/Minn.

The Indians are 1 game up on the Astros with 2 games remaining and the Indians (I believe) hold the tiebreaker over the Astros. With Kluber pitching today and Sale pitching tomorrow against the Astros, you'd think the Indians would wrap up top spot in the AL. Plus, Boston is still fighting for the AL East title. I don't think they want to go from having home field advantage in the ALDS to playing the wild card game!

I'm interested to see the playoff schedule as far as times and everything.

My friend texted me about Boston's roster, and made a good point... none of their hitters are hitting for massive average, massive power, really massive anything. However, every single one of their "main" guys (including Devers, Vazquez) has an OPS above .700, which kind of says that they're pretty consistent. Their number 1 guys in terms of power are Mookie+Hanley, and they each only have 23 bombs. I feel like I don't see that very often, usually every good team has a .300 average guy, or a 30+ HR player. Boston is an interesting group.

 

I used to think the Altuve comp was insane, but it legit may be true.
