Next time someone says that shit just go on a rant about Greece. Or point him out to me and I'll engage in tedious, extensive, psychological warfare.

Yeah I just don't want to prove anyone right who thinks "POC are more prone to violence". The hairs on my neck stood up and I got that guttural anger inside me and I found a way to just say "well you proved your ignorance right there for me" and walk away.

I finally have a job that pays me enough so I can't risk losing it over an ignorant person

i disagree with "trump one" if the teams stop kneeling and/or do the kneel and lock arms thing. i think the point of "fuck you trump" was heard loud and clear. I think it's a louder message if now the players do the very soft, non-issue link arm things..and people STILL get angry. Like one person says, it exposes the truly dumb and awful people even more. They can no longer hide under the bullshit concept of "disrespecting" the flag.

We are nine months into a Donald fucking Trump presidency and you still think people can't hide behind whatever they want to hide behind?

It has never been about disrespecting the flag. You can't make it less than zero about the flag.

The fact that it even became about Trump instead of being about police brutality is a problem

oh well they can, but i think any time they can be exposed to the average masses... it helps us.

    They are the average masses.

Actually no, the average masses might be worse. They are the "both sides" kind of people.

And of course, the terrifying part is they make the adjustment before the defense even truly corrects it. If I was an opposing defender seeing this, Id be scared of even adjusting

but im under the belief that nothing can be accomplished and things are only going to get worse if we dont try and show the both sides people...that our side the clear cut obvious side. theyre dumb and stupid but can be swayed.

I am a listen to both sides person (only so I can try and show people that, well, 'my way' is the right way)

Well yeah the fact that we're having this conversation because the President of the United States said something is idiotic. He has infinitely more important issues to worry about but felt compelled to insert himself right in the middle of it and stir up controversy because that's all he's good at. Ya know "stick to politics" or whatever Mr. Prez

For sure. Its been very enlightening the last year and a half or so to see how many of my friends, coworkers, etc have pretty shitty beliefs but never had to express them (or felt like they should).

Its why I find this "lock arms, kneel before the anthem" stuff so infuriating. This isnt about unity in any way. Force the fans to react to players doing what they feel is right; not the brand-conscious crap the NFL owners came up with. In some cases, fans will do fine (GB fans by and large ignoring the lock arms stuff), in other cases, they'll reveal the racism we already knew was there (see: Boston)

Every week up until now he's maintained Glennon is the starter, so yeah I definitely think Trubisky is starting. Or they see what Jimmy Clausen is up to
