I love the BCR album and enjoyed the first two AVA albums (WDNTW and iEmpire). There are a handful of songs I liked from Love Part 1 and Love Part 2 and felt if I could just take those 8 songs and make it one album it would be fine but there's a lot of filler. The Dream Walker was ok, listened to it maybe 2 times and just forgot about it. Since then I've had a hard time listening to any of the EPs, demos etc. I don't find myself going back to listen to any AVA songs, just no desire too. The way Tom handled things with blink really soured him in my eyes. Although I did go back and listen to the BCR album this weekend and still love it. Tom, to me, just hasn't been the same since Untitled and don't really like his stuff now anymore.

BCR album in 2017 is still so good. It's a shame songs like I Feel So, Watch the World, And I, Letters to God and There Is were never blink songs.

It's honestly a toss up for me and wouldn't really argue if someone picked either Whisper or iEmpire. I think I liked Whisper a little more because there are a few songs I tend to skip from iEmpire and generally don't like the instrumental tracks.

Whisper: I always skip "Destruction", "Good Day" and "Start the Machine" 7 out 10
I-Empire: the only song I skip (deleted from playlist) is the 0:45 instrumental "Jumping Rooftops" It doesn't even count as a song so I guess it's 11 out of 11 (In my personal preference)

This is probably the best AvA track IMO

 

Best AVA album isn't really saying much haha

Up All Night premiered a couple hours before the last Harry Potter movie came out. My friends and I jammed it on repeat all the way to the theater.

 

Hah it's funny cause you all act like AvA and BCR are different bands.. Jeez guys.. both records were written by the same guy, the only difference between these side projects is the production. I bet you anything if someone covers some AvA songs in BCR/Blink182 Untitled music-style you will love them 100%. (I'm talking only about the first two AvA records)

But I get it.. not trying to start a war (or the machine ) Music style and production are pretty good reasons to like or dislike a band/record. In Tom Delogne case, growing up with Blink, seeing their progress from trash-sounding pop-punk band (DR era) to arena rock stars (Enema/Jacket) and then going full experimental-mode in studio with Untitled, it was wayyyyy too easy for me to adapt on BCR and AvA sound/style, in my mind these side-projects were still Blink records.

It really gets me when I read this "It's not even close" Really man? Am I the only one who can imagine a bunch of AvA/BCR songs to be on "Untitled"?

 

Someone could cover Creed in the style of blink and i still wouldn't like it.
