Imo BOTO is definitely one of the better more interesting songs from this era

Good to know that I'm not the only one

  4. 1. Bored To Death
    2. She's Out Of Her Mind
    3. Rabbit Hole (or Cynical)

And yeah, I wasn't really into +44, aside from a few songs. Baby Come On, especially.

Yeh.. seeing your Top 3, it all makes sense.. I just grew out of this style, to me California was a step backwards after their "Pet Sounds" album "Untitled", I just can't hear or see them trying to re-live their glorious Enema days, it feels wrong.. but hey that's my personal opinion.. :eh:

  6. oh, it definitely feels wrong. and i don't think they'll re-capture the magic of the untitled era.

  10. I'm so bummed that Reddit ruined "Rabbit Hole" for Blink. The band was so pumped on that song and said shit like "We will be playing this song live for the rest of our lives." But then they released it and Reddit shot it fucking down! And I was sooooo pissed because that song RULES and I'd absolutely love to hear it live.

But by reddit logic, when the next record comes out California will get all the praise and they all wish the new record was as good as Cali. When neighborhoods came out i remember most of reddit not liking it at all, and now they talk as if that record is one of the worlds miracles. I think it has a few good songs, but overall it sounds like ass and i would take California over Neighborhoods any day of the week.

And yet they continue to play Kings of the Weekend and Los Angeles all the time and I don't think people care about either of those songs. So silly and strange. Rabbit Hole is a middle of the road song for me on California but I was excited to hear them play it live.

Not gonna lie. I don’t go on reddit. I tried it once and got overwhelmed by the ignorance that affected every thread I was interested in.

  14. Yup, that's Reddit!

I don't go on Reddit at all but I'm surprised that they praise Neighborhoods. I feel like the opposite happened and people loved Neighborhoods when it first came out but as it aged people started to crap on it, especially now once Travis said Tom didn't even listen to the master mixes.

I'd keep Los Angeles live. It was middle tier on the album for me but damn almighty it sounds great live

I visit that sub fairly often when I'm bored. But a lot of people are convinced that record is the gold standard. Which is fine, different strokes and all, i just wonder if i've been listening to a different record sometimes :blink182:

That's what I saw on absolute. When it dropped everyone was like zOMG!!! And then around the time BTD dropped I noticed it was suddenly the most hated thing ever

Yeah it does sound good live but just surprised by some of the choices of songs they decided to play from the California album. I mean Kings to me was such a filler song but it's been on like 95% of their sets since California dropped. They didn't play SOOHM outside of 2 or 3 shows during their initial California 2016 US tour when they said from day 1 it would be the 2nd single. Still never played HISALP even though it was a single. Didn't start playing Sober until 2017. Played Only Thing That Matters and No Future a handful of times and then dropped them. Still haven't heard Rabbit Hole or Left Alone live either.

  20. I'm reconnecting with Neighborhoods this week. Maybe it's the fall weather. But I'm not even skipping Love is Dangerous!

Yeah neighborhoods is bad. Not as bad as people make it seem. But it has aged so poorly imo.

It also doesn't help when the band comes out and basically disowns the album and treats it like it never existed anymore.

    Haha.

Every other song on Neighborhoods > Love is Dangerous > Fighting the Gravity

I still wonder if Tom knows Fighting the Gravity exists and was put on the album.
