I was writting this post when the spider fell on me i sat on the toilet to pee instead of standing and it came down on its little web and crawled on my shoulder. I think my gf would of passed out if it happened to her. It was definitely pretty creepy haha

Also do you know the band Hollow Coves? Australian duo from Brisbane.

I loved it, I'm excited to listen to it more! I need to delve into the lyrics, I didn't look at them upon first listen but the vocalist sounds very passionate and emotive. I don't know Hollow Coves but I'm happy to check them out

Amazing happy to hear you enjoyed it and I most definitely recommend their debut album as well! I played it today right after the dear me listening party and I honestly enjoy it just as much. So many incredible songs on that one too so you are def in for a treat if you listen.

And yeah Hollow Coves is just really chill indie folk. Love the vibe they got going on. They only have an EP out and its just 22 minutes so easy to get into!

 

Those three are the only albums by them I like tbh. Oh and their bsides album.

Is Dead is my personal favorite. @KennedyBN would tell you IWTTDYTS is better. Both are solid.

The Troubled Stateside isn't really breaking much ground, but it's just solid punk that gets me fired up. Some of the political themes are especially relevant today.

Please share your thoughts on each album.

Well thanks for furthering the nightmarish visual I have to stay up late to study for the cpa so I wasn't trying to sleep for a while anyway. Your girlfriend sounds like a reasonable person, that's the appropriate reaction to have in that situation.

Also I'm listening to Unviable In Your World right now and they're singing about spiders, so that's gotta mean something.

 

Good news: Science Fiction finally works on my iPod!! It's an iPod classic and has problems with some music I put on it. I've tried dragging Science Fiction onto it 4 times, so I'm fourth time lucky, I suppose!

 

I'll listen to their debut tomorrow! Nice, sounds right up my alley. I need short releases sometimes too haha

Have you heard their b-sides album, Selective Wreckage?

It's cool that they have "Four X's" on there, which was written as an apology for the song "For Exes" because the latter included an insensitive lyric about someone's appearance.

And then I loved ending to "The Bride:"
