I didn't play the TBS bracket game. I have a very weird relationship with that band. I simultaneously love them but also could care less about them. I can't explain it myself.

 

I wasn't huge on Vinnie's solo album, but his EP was truly inspired.

Peace'd Out is a side project where the guitars are insane and all of Vinnie's parts are screamed. Songs are short. I think they only have like five songs. Worth a listen.

Brandon put up a song on his Bandcamp awhile back called "that's so Millennial" and it is up there with the best NOY songs.

Brandon's solo EP was good, but not necessarily for me. It's a lot like Daryl Palumbo's Color Film project, where he went for a specific 80s sound and nailed it, but it's not my cup of herbal tea.

 

If you don't like Citizen you're blocked, fair warning.

 

My dude! You're definitely part of my chorus crew/wolf pack/whatever you wanna call it. Ciz rules I love them so much. Did you like Mat's solo album from last year?

This is the truth!! I had one show up like out of nowhere on my knee the other day. All day it wasn't there, then suddenly in the afternoon it was, and it hurt

I'm glad to hear it because after I'm done blocking everyone I threaten to block and report, there's not going to be very many people who's posts I still see.

I haven't given it quite as much time as I would like, but I've listened a few times and I think it's a really pleasant listen, even if it doesn't reach the highs of Citizen. Maybe I'll give it another listen this week actually. Direction is really great. I saw him open for someone I don't even remember who actually I think it was Real Friends but I don't want to publicly admit that and he was fun to see.

 

Being in here and then checking the Tour Predictions and Speculation thread is such a jarring experience.

I saw BN live two weeks ago and I already miss them so much even though I know I'm going to try seeing them multiple times next year

It really will feel hollowing when they call it a day but I'm thankful I'll always have these records to put on

I love it personally. I'm surprised some people didnt like it too much tbh but to each their own.

I mean Mat is one of my favorite vocalists so i pretty much like anything he does. Have you heard of The Flats his brother's band. Mat used to be more involved with it played drums for them on the first LP but now he's too busy with Ciz. He did sing on one of the tracks on the EP they came out with this year. Def recommend checking it out if you havent already. I still play it a ton

I don't know if I realized it wasn't received well. That bums me out, it's cool that it's different. All of the people I know who like Citizen like it (but that's like 2 people not from chorus lol). Mat has a really cool voice, definitely unique and so distinct. No missing that it's him.

The only Flats I have room for in my life is the Flatliners. Kidding aside, I'm listening now. You can tell that they're related they have a similar tone to their voice.

 

Jesus Christ no thank you, burn your house. I probably would've just passed out if it was me. One time a spider dropped down on me in the shower. I had been watching it the whole shower hoping we would just each mind our business, but then it just had to drop down and I screamed like I was being murdered and ran out of the shower. (This was maybe 5 years ago, but I would have the exact same reaction now).

This thread definitely feels like it's own community within the greater chorus community. Whenever I see you all in the other threads I'm like well I have to give them a like at least.

 

Maybe I'll get drunk in solidarity with @ComedownMachine tonight.
