Lake Superior is so good

 

That's so weird that they wouldn't play it. Maybe they'll play it at my date.

 

Hearts is so eerily awesome! What a great record!

 

Yeah they played it on the other dates I believe

 

Really digging this after one listen, definitely heavier/faster than expected, fun stuff

 

So Holden Reilly has to be Brandon's kid, right? With that melody at the beginning of Sister Saint Monica. I wonder if his kid was singing the melody and they made it to a song

 

Yup, pretty cool if that is how it happened

 

Man, I love "Mercy Is Asleep At The Wheel"

 

Mercy, Ghosts, Saint Monica and Lake Superior are the only songs that I fully like off the bat, but I'm starting to come around on the others. Pour Two Glasses is a solid acoustic track as well

 

I love smart pop punk

Do you like any of the more recent output from Vinnie or Brandon in their other projects?

 

Don't laugh at me, but I haven't been to a show in a year or two. How much were shirts going for? Do bands take cards now?

I really like this album, although it’s a pop-punk album, it kinda fits for this time of the year. Some great melodies on this one.

This doesn't have much staying power with me. There's a couple good songs but overall not what I was expecting/wanting from them.

 

I was a bit disappointed upon my first listen. Not sure exactly what I wanted this to be, but it wasn't what I wanted it to be. With that being said, I enjoy it quite a bit now that I've given it more listens without those expectations. Wolverines was the first Vinnie album that didn't do a lot for me, but I'm happy with this overall.

 

It's funny that everyone says that about Wolverines. I've always felt that way but thought I was in the minority for some reason. Avalanche United might be my favorite from him, too which makes it odd that there wasn't much that stuck with me on the follow up.

I've been listening to this new album quite a bit. It's definitely good, but yeah, not anything that I'll be coming back to years later most likely. Like it but don't love it, I guess.

 

Man, Avalanche United was such a game changer for me.

 

Liked Avalanche United a lot that year it came out but it didn't age very well for me

 

Avalanche United is everything that I like about Vinnie's music
