The amount of times I think "oh man, we like soooo many of the same things!" And get excited. Meanwhile, they straight up never bother replying or do with clear indifference is like a lottttt. It's not like I write generic BS or anything, in fact the opposite but I suppose to each their own is the point of this all. I remember when I was young and on stickam talking to scene kids, lots of people I liked would tell me they only like the opposite thing of themselves and I guess in some cases that could be why.

I've known and met too many shady people who have wild, clearly dyed hair colors in my lifetime (red, blue, purple, orange, etc). To the point that anyone over the age of 12 that has dyed hair gets shifty eyes from me. Especially if I find out they're 25+. Seems like something that would phase out by middle school.

I like dyed hair on a woman, but valid or not, there are definitely negative connotations that go along with it. Which is somewhat odd because it’s something that’s temporary and easily changeable. Tbh I love when I see women who have hair that’s dyed silver/grey, that is so attractive to me. But even naturally grey hair is attractive to me I can’t explain it

I agree, I love it, however I think that as a whole people associate negative qualities with dyed hair for one reason or another. The manic pixie dream girls plays into most of that I feel

I think the dyed hair stigma is similar to the tattoo stigma, like it's not traditionally presentable but dyed hair can look hella cool

I love dyed hair and I love tattoos. I think both stigmas might be slowly fading away. I see more and more people with tattoos in professional environments and it’s great

I told my friend about the fair and now she is like

“ASK THAT GIRL AT YOUR WORK”

I don’t think she realizes how hard that to do so soon into a work friendship.

If I ever wanted to hang out with a coworker one on one I would first organize a group hang out at a bar or something like that where we can drink and loosen up. Then, maybe the next week or so, it’d be a lot easier to ask an individual person to hang out

I say wait until you’re a few years older. We are constantly changing so it’s hard to say if will love my tattoos twenty years from now, (I will) but there are tattoos I wanted when I was your age and I am so glad I held off. I think I was 24 when I got my first one and now I’m 25 and I have four.

I feel so young :') but yeah, that's my fear. I've had one design in mind for years and years that I've really liked, I think it'll be my first if I pull the trigger. I think I'm def getting a stick n poke from my best friend cause that's so low stakes. Idc so much about the design as much as it's my best friend that does that one, yknow? But for a real tattoo, I'm definitely holding off for a bit.

Solid idea. The way I see it is there is literally no harm in waiting. None of my tattoos have any “meaning” or whatever, they are just stuff I like, but what’s funny is after the second one I was just like “fuck it” and now I’m pretty open to just getting random designs and stuff. Like I have a bird tattoo that was just spur of the moment cause I thought it looked cool. It’s addicitng lol

Edit: I’ll probably say the same thing when I’m thirty but it is INSANE how different I am now compared to when I was twenty. Though, scientifically speaking, the brain is still forming from twenty to twenty five so I think that jump is a lot bigger.

I'm in the nothing matters boat so I'm not too worried but yep better safe than sorry. I always thought Barry from Joyce Manor has a sick tattoo. His whole arm is just blacked out ink, so cool. But that's something I refuse to just jump into lmao

100% same, shit is so tight and I'd love to, but I don't think I ever would. Seems like a bigger commitment in general than other tattoos and I fear commitment

    Slow down, Quentin Supporter

I've got my guide dog's paw on my shoulder, and planning on getting another one this winter. I'm a law student (planning on going into criminal defense/courtroom work) so I need to make sure they're not visible. My rule is that I want them covered by slacks and a polo (the most relaxed I'd dress for a professional event). If I'm wandering around without my shirt, I think we're past the point of caring about tats.

My sisters both want sister tattoos and I'm the one ruining it and holding out so they'll prob get one without me. I've never had a big desire to get one and all the ones they like I do not. There are a few lyrics I really like but then I can't think of any place I'd want to put them so I prob won't ever get one.

Also with dyed hair it just depends how it's executed to me. I really wanted magenta in my hair but ended up not doing it cause I'd only be able to have it for summer until I went back to work. I looked thru a lot of pics for inspiration and I think dyed hair has come a lot farther than when I was in high school and everyone looked like cheap Harley Quinn cosplay (myself included lol)

My lady friend does hair for a living, so colors don't bother me. Although the work she does is top notch and $$$ so it doesn't look like that Harley Quinn hair you're talking about.

I’m in the same boat. If I wasn’t planning on being a teacher I’d definitely get them on my hands and neck though. The thing is, not only do I wanna teach but I wanna teach in Japan and tattoos are a big no no, so they definitely need to be covered.

Edit: the ones I have now can only be covered by a long sleeve shirt, which is fine, but it’s gonna suck during those hot Japanese summers. Assuming I teach summer school
