Yeah it was more so a rip off. The band had stated in an interview I saw on reddit that they were fans of Brand New.

Hey everyone, if you were a fan of my bracket game on this thread and like My Chemical Romance, that's the next game up starting within the next 30 minutes on the MCR thread.

 

I know this is possibly blasphemy here because most people seem to dig him, but I cannot stand John Noland's voice.

Was just looking back at his Limousine cover and a few things people have posted. Not for me.

 

I love his voice

I’m sure you’re not alone, but I assume in the minority.

 

The Limousine cover was an exclusive recorded specifically for one person and it was not done at a studio or anything.

Yeah I get that it was an on-the-fly cover. His voice just doesn't do it for me is all.

I also didn't grow up with Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, any of the bands in that scene really, so I do wonder sometimes if it's part of an investment in that artist that people have as they've been able to see a career grow and change (which is totally understandable, I have artists like that in my life), or if a lot of these people who support him are new listeners.
