I have a Brand New question:

I've seen a million youtube videos and the covers that users on here have made, but are there any bands out there that ever had studio recorded covers of Brand New?

 

I'd actually think Blink covering 'Last chance to lose your keys' would sound good with Matt in the lead.

 

that guy from thrice did an acoustic cover of jesus im p sure

uh that pop punk band the in crowd did a cover of sic transit with dual female/male vocals that made it stick out in my mind

that's all i recall off the top of my head

Yes. I am sure there are plenty... but one for sure was some band covered Sic Transit and made a music video for it. It was fairly straight forward as covers go, but the screams sounded really bad, especially the ending one. They had a girl singer. I can’t recall their name.

blink is v aware of their limits and that's why they haven't been an interesting band for a really long time

It's one of my favorite covers ever.

 

idk i only like dude ranch, take off yr pants, and untitled im not really their target audience. enema is okay i guess but it would never ever ever be my first choice on the off chance im feeling like playing blink. those three albums really survive off the strength of my love for them five years ago but i feel like they still bang

yeah for sure, i still check out the new stuff they do, i haven't written them off as incapable making good music or anything. i just wish they'd try to expand beyond the template they've set for themselves, you know? they really do have a good ear for pop

 

Oh I agree, and I hope they are more experimental in the next album; Mark said that's what he wants to do. I loved California, but I want the next album to expand.

 

Hopefully Jonathan "Makeout Producer" Failedmann is not working with them.
