listening to this album is like watching someone slowly break down and cry. its beautiful.

 

i think this is a perfect album almost, and probably the most consistent one they've ever made. 0 lulls. fucking love it.

 

Pretty sure this is my favorite record of the year now and I for sure like it more than TWFM and HV. It'll probably be 1-2 with Boxer for me.

 

So I spent more time with this, and it's the bees knees

 

Alright now that pretty much everything I was looking forward to has come out.. I'm fairly confident this is my AOTY

This is the best year of the decade by far haha. Way too hard to call rn.

 

I'm sure it will be great but I doubt it surpasses the 5 or so records I have on top right now.. Who knows though? Appointments if my favorite song she's ever done so that's a definitely a good sign

 

I definitely don't love Noah's album as much as I wanted to. Which would've probably taken the top spot. The David Ramirez album is definitely top 5 though.

It really has been an incredible year.

It's hard for me to get through sometimes but the highs are incredibly high to me.

And oh shit, forgot Hiss Golden Messenger just dropped a new album

Yeah... it's gonna be incredibly hard to settle on a list this year..

 

That sounds like his last one too haha. I'll get around to it. Just been busy lately and I wanna actually sit down with this one.

 

Aoty lists are kinda dumb. All I care about at this point is if I like an album or not

I mean, why go into the last three months of the year thinking "Yeah I'll check this out, but no way will it by my AOTY. That's the National"? Just seems strange to me.
