Draft picks are nice and all but if it's at the expense of terrible contracts does it make it worth it? I know y'all have been going through this for a while now but jesus, when is it gonna end?

I have absolutely no issue with players using PED's for recovery. I mean, it's stupid that they do it knowing it's banned, but still.

That's about the only time i could see it being appropriate. I guess some/most guys start using for that reason and just don't stop?

They're only in like year two of the rebuild, right? I know I caught some flack earlier in this thread for suggesting that this is going to take a while, but...it is...

They should be taking on bad contracts, at least relatively short ones, 2-4 years, to get competitive balance picks.

Rebuilds typically take a while but they way the Braves FO is going about it seems crazy. They are essentially losing all goodwill with fans in HOPES that they'll make it up in a few years time and then some. Not saying it's bad by any means it just seems a bit insane the way they are going about it and not something i've ever quite seen before.

HOU just did it. They probably started from a weaker point than the Braves, but also tanked harder. They wouldn't have held onto Freeman, Teheran.

Not that I'd call HOU a success just yet, either on the field or at the ticket window, but between their young core and lack of financial commitments, they're in one of the most admirable positions outside of the Cubs.
