What were these three terrible Reitman films?

All of them, but I was referring to his first three films (Thank You For Smoking, Juno, Up in the Air).

 

All good films. You're living up to your username aren't ya? haha

 

Part of me thinks Morrissey has really bad taste in film.

 

I'm sure he probably likes some of the really strange criterion collection films.

 

My point was that the general audience reaction to this has been unnecessarily negative and I feel that the marketing had a big part to play in that which will ultimately impact how well it does at the box office.

 

I truly hated this movie, not because I thought it would be straightforward horror, I knew what I was getting into with Aronofsky. It was just a mess.

That being said, I really really liked the first hour. It was very Kafka, or something. I was captivated. Never seen a movie fall so hard in its second half.

 

I really liked this

 

The more I think about this movie the more I want to rewatch it.

 

What a gnarly movie. I really enjoyed it and I can't wait until more people I know see it so that we can discuss it.

To the guy to my right who laughed at everything: fuck off, I don't think you know what was going on and took everything at face value.

 

Same thing happened with the older couple next to me.

Okay, the first few things in the beginning are so ridiculous that it was slightly humorous, but they kept laughing at each thing after the next as it got crazier. "Gee golly, Bev, this party sure got outta hand!" It was infuriating and ruined the vibe of the film.

 

I get finding humor in the ridiculous things in this movie but something about the way and amount this guy was laughing had me thinking it was all going over his head.

 

A woman straight up walked out during the Jesus baby scene when I watched it.

 

Same here despite not really having the money to go and rewatch a film, really having to restrain myself haha.

Great to also see that this has done the reverse over here in the UK compared to America as this made more last weekend than American Assassin did.

 

I haven't watched this yet because if I do end up seeing mother! I want to go in totally blind but they are typically great so

This is def a film that you will either really like or really hate, there will never be a middle ground.
