Same thoughts. Once waste lost I was kinda checked out but now that 451 and Lit Me Up are losing, I'm super checked out.

in the water is the best song on the album so its fine but how did 2 of the 3 worst songs on it make the final 4

 

I listened to this album once again in full on my way home from work, and it still gives me chills in the same way Devil & God did when that first came out, except back then I was driving home from school and purposely taking every back road I could think of so I could listen to the whole thing. It's fucking great to know these guys still had something so good in them after all this time.

 

Album is awesome all the way through but here's my thoughts

In the water = same logic= 137 (would be happy with any of these 3 winning)

Out of mana

This probably changes every time I listen though

Lit Me Up and Same Logic are my two favorites on the album, so kind of pissed they're facing each other in the semis.....but Lit Me Up's atmosphere is just too good, so I had to vote for it.

 

Seriously 451 is booty compared to the rest of the album.

But if it were on Daisy it'd be top 3 for me heh.


That and Out of Mana compete for my least favorite on the album. I like certain things about both songs that keep me from really saying "this is my least favorite" tho.

But now I'm just bitter at 451 for taking out two better songs in Batter Up and Waste

2x truth

 

Out of Mana works well in the context of the album when you throw in that little acoustic segway that goes into In the Water. As a standalone track though I see why one would feel that way

 

451 - I love that this song made it this far! Has a Jack White vibe to it.

Logic

 

Yeah I like Out of Mana from after the 2nd chorus on. The outro is fantastic. But I still can't quite get into the first part of hte song. I do like the way he sings the chorus though, even if the lyrics aren't really something I connect with.

 

2x lies

 

Honestly there are six songs on this album that - depending on my mood, day, time - I can say is my favorite on the album: In the water, 137, waste, same logic, desert, could never be heaven.

I've been consistent since album came out, those are my top 6 and Out of Mana & 451 are my 2 least favorites. Still enjoy them and the outro song on Out of Mana is incredible. The album is almost perfect.
