I don't have the ability to pick favorites at this point in the other thread. When an album is this new and I really love it, I love all of it equally so choosing one over the other in any match up felt really silly. I haven't had enough time with it, plus this album is 8 years in the making in my head and completely floors Daisy for me, so playbacks have been mostly of the album start to finish, with breaks in between.

HOWEVER, if I have gone to pick one or two, or I've been showing other people the album, my top 3 picks have been:

Waste
Out Of Mana
In The Water

 

Apple Music has it as

It's really a disgrace

I like to think I have a pretty good track record when it comes to the recommendations I've made to you. Did you ever end up listening to more by Attack in Black? And what did you think of Dear Me compared to S/T?

 

I've listened to this album in like five different ways (in 2 cars, on my computer with ear buds, on my phone with different earbuds) and each time I hear different stuff. I need to get some really good headphones again.

You know, for all the ~*intricacies*~

But for real, listening to Can't Get It Out right now and I've never heard the faint harmony on the beginning of the 3rd verse so clearly.

 

I'm pretty sure I could also swap Can't Get It Out with any of my 3 current favorites and be fine.

 

The Fray

I thought Dear Me was a much better record than S/T. I really enjoyed S/T too!!

 

Apple Music's lyrics are terrible lol. There's no way he says "break apart our heart for them to see." I 100% hear "break apart, hard for them to see"

Also I hear "Drowning in the prays/praise" (edit 1: although prays doesn't work grammatically; edit 2: I also sometimes hear "rays", like rays of the sun maybe?)

Goodness gracious this album is so good. I think 137 has moved into my top 3, along with Desert and Same Logic/Teeth. The writing on this album is mind-blowing at times.

I recently changed to 45 posts per page and I'm still unsure if I like it lol. Like after being away this weekend there were only 10 new pages...but then I remembered that it was more like 17 or so because of the post per page difference

 

I've always just kept it at the normal settings, because I've never minded the settings the way they are. Here and Absolutepunk

 

Yeah it's up to 811 for me. I've never bothered with that (on AP either) but maybe I should finally try it to compare and see if I like the difference.

People who like to have that many posts per page must be the same sort of people that like to read Buzzfeed's "60 Tweets that are Straight Up Cray Cray About Game of Thrones"...

 

Oops I'm 40 pages behind and I have no intention of going through that so for the first time from the start of this thread, I'm actually missing some stuff.

Don't worry though, Riot Fest is over and I'm now back on my regularly scheduled bullshit.

 

Less posts per page = Go through more pages in a shorter amount of time = I feel like I'm making quicker progress

 

I don't like anything about this post.

1. I think this is an insult?
2. I don't read Buzzfeed.
3. I don't generally read tweets.
4. I can't stand the term "cray cray". It's somehow actually worse than referring to Taylor Swift as "Tay Tay".
5. I've seen one episode of GoT, and it was bad, and I never watched any more.
