Highly considering getting the Apple Watch Series 3 - it would be my first Apple Watch. I'm not a watch guy to begin with in general, and even though my girlfriend has the Series 1 watch, I still haven't been sold on it having a usecase for me in particular. However, the cellular version has me very interested in getting one, as I love the idea of leaving my phone at my apartment and having call/text abilities on the watch, and important notifications. I've spent the past 12-ish months really trying to limit my phone time, mainly by turning off almost all notifications for 90% of my apps, rearranging apps, limiting social media time, etc, and have really felt great about it. I think the watch will aid with that, too, as it's an easy reason to leave my phone at home if I'm say going to dinner, out with friends, working out, hiking, running, etc. The addition of Apple Music is my second main reason for my newfound interest. Basically that, cellular, and less phone time would be my main 3. Think I'd get the space gray with a black sport band.

I'm also considering the iPhone X, but I think I'd rather spend some of that money on the Watch, as my 6s still works well enough.

 

This question is to the people already using Apple Music in iOS 11. Can you add a cover photo for your playlist that people will see if they listen to it and can you select which genres are in your playlist or is there another feature to distinguish playlists?

 

I just opened a playlist and clicked edit and yes, it gives you an option to change the photo of the “cover” for the playlist.

 

HDR movies arrive on iPad Pro, and they look great

I had no clue HDR was coming to the 2017 iPad Pro.

Do it, Kev! DOOO IT. I had to order a new case since I'm going from a 6 to 8 Plus and I saw them in my want list and made the impulse buy. I can return them if I don't find them that useful and I have a pair of Plantronics backbeat go2 that I can still stick with if I do. But I want to at least try them for a week myself before I decide.

And then tax returns are going to purchase a series 3....or paying off my credit card. Both are equally responsible.

 

Do it. Best purchase I've made in years. One of the coolest products I've ever owned

What’s the best way to clean the AirPods? I keep my ears clean, but they still get wax from time to time. Seems rather unavoidable.

 

I use an old tooth brush, gently, and compressed air.

If anyone has any better ideas, please lmk

 

I used a thumb tack to get all the ear funk out of the regular ear pods.

 

AirPods are probably my next bigger purchase and I just might order a pair when I get paid Friday

Yeah when I got mine on February I just kept up with iStock.com (I believe that's what it's called?) until they were in stock and got lucky enough to order one through Target. But with the new shipping dates it's a lot better than waiting the 6+ weeks it was before

 

here to jump on the "I love my airpods" train. they were an impulse buy one day when i strolled into the apple store and they happened to have a few in stock but i use them WAY more than i thought i would. such a great investment.

 

Got my girlfriend an apple watch for her bday. She better like it lol.

 

So with the switch to APFS+ in High Sierra I've heard conflicting reports. I have a fusion drive in my iMac. Does that mean it is not switching to APFS+ yet?

 

Ordered a Karapax case for my 8 plus, it's a new line by Anker. I'm impressed for $10

 

Bought one for my wife a couple years ago, and she loved it. She had only vaguely mentioned wanting one.
