He added a lot of emotion to the show. Love his character and his acting. Rest in peace.

I love the scene when the boy gets run over by the car and he comforts the mother. Also when he plays his guitar. Good stuff.

When I was in high school a teacher made me watch Repo Man and it is one of those movies that changed my worldview in a dramatic way. Like most of his movies, he was the straight man to more bizarre and colorful events, but the straight man is often the hardest role to play. This is a sad day.

HDS was one of the best parts of The Return. RIP. Here's to a long life well-lived, though.

I read twin peaks statement(David lynch statement about harry(rip) in Gordon Cole voice and it made me sad and happy.

Just echoing the sentiment that Harry Dean Stanton was a great actor and he was one of my favorite parts of the revival. Really impressive career and legacy he's leaving behind. If no one's ever listened to it, he released an album of mostly country standards a while back and it's really beautiful, in the same way the AMERICAN albums by Johnny Cash are. Stripped down, sparse renditions where the noticeable age in his voice inhabits the songs with the spirit of someone who's lived a long and adventurous life.

you're in a cult, call your dad

Such a terrible loss to the art form. Rest in peace, Harry Dean Stanton. Love what you added to the TP universe.

I had no idea Miguel has also passed away. I've been staying away from this thread until I'm caught up.Probably would have known if I was in here more frequently. Got 3eps left.

Albert is one of my fav characters.

I'm rewatching the whole series right now and I got to Fire Walk With Me yesterday. With the end of season 3 in mind it really made some scenes more emotional, especially when Laura looks off in the distance and screams.

Wouldn't really call it a theory so much as an interpretation but yeah, my thinking definitely falls along those lines as well. I'd add that this season has a lot to do with toxic masculinity and male violence as a cause of that trauma as well. That's always been a part of Twin Peaks but Lynch and Frost really leaned into it heavily with The Return.

Haha I'd be too scared to eat there.

I became a Twin Peaks fan right before I moved out of Seattle so unfortunately I never got the chance to see Snoqualmie Falls as a fan of the show, which is where it was largely filmed and you can see the Great Northern right above the waterfall. I'm pretty bummed about that haha.
