You literally just described me! I know you're right that it's probably not a very large demographic, but I'm still really happy it's happening and I'll get to play some of these games as Switch will likely be the only major console I own for the foreseeable future

 

I haven't even left the town yet lol. I was binging on Bojack. How long is the demo?

Also i think it was octopath or octosomething. What a forgettable name, I hope it's not final.

 

They are kind of a different thing I think, they can do well, though it's usually better if they tweak them in different ways than jut lowering the framerate and stuff like that. I think cleaner, simplified versions of the games for the Switch would be a cool idea and could convince people to double-dip.

 

It's like 1 hour per character I'd say but you can keep running around and fighting random battles after "the story".

Yeah I'm definitely not trying to look down on that, that's not at all what I'm trying to do, it's just that there has been this pattern of Western AAA publishers releasing compromised (or very late) ports like this on Nintendo consoles, only to then abandon the Nintendo consoles "because they did not buy our games hurrdurr"

Are switches still hard to find? My local target has 10 right now. I think it's the first time I've seen them in store.

 

I've seen at least one switch at Target each time I've gone the past couple weeks. The neon bundle continues to be scarce for some reason.

 

They had about 5 of each

 

Switch has been a bit easier to find as of late. Gamestop seems to have them in stock most of the time.

I'm not in far enough to give a full review but YES!
It just feels like the perfect evolution of 2D Metroid and the perfect fit for the 3DS.
It's crazy to think we are going to end up with amazing games in the Zelda, Metroid and Mario franchises this year. Hot Damn!

I just realized we're about half a week away from SNES Classic. Pretty stoked, hope I could grab one.

I have not played any of those SNES games, besides Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island.

 

Good luck getting your hands on one. I'm shocked you're only familiar with those two games. I'm not even sure to tell you where to begin. Super Metroid still holds up very well. For me though, I'm ecstatic about Mario RPG and Secret of Mana.

The unit doesn't really run out where I'm from but it's at least 1.5x more expensive. We still have NES on the shelves but it's like 120USD. But I don't think it's our local retailer hiking up the price, I think it's whoever the Southeast Asia distributor is, because similar nearby countries sell at a similar range. Don't want to blame them either, haha.

Also we only had a PC growing up (not even a gaming one) so I pretty much jumped from NES to DS. Already played a lot but I still have lots of Ninty games to catch up on.
