The most recent fiction that I've read and enjoyed are The Revenant, A Visit from the Goon Squad, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Recent nonfiction, if you decide to go that way, are Your Favorite Band is Killing Me, Tranny, Steve Jobs, and Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl

If you're into comics or graphic novels, there's a really cool one called Black Science that started a few years ago that I like a lot.

I read children's books. The same dozen or so. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

If you've never read them, I can't recommend The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series enough. A fun but thoughtful read.

So, we talked movies a week or so back and I realized there are way too many classics I haven't seen and I want to compile a list of some classics I haven't seen. What are some MUST SEE before I die movies? Some movies I've compiled for example are: The Tree Of Life, Mulholland Drive, 2001, Close Encounters.

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Hot take: Jesse says, "You are not alone, you get to reset" instead of, "You are not alone, and he says..." on Waste.

Makes sense in the context of the message. Not alone in the struggle, with "reset" referring to each new morning.

That's awesome. I would also seriously recommend Pan's Labyrinth as something you'd seriously regret not seeing.

It's also an easy read, too, which is something I recently realized I need when I try to get back into reading (books). I've been trying for a while, and I seem to always start with something pretty dense/heavy, since that's what I'm interested in, but it makes it hard to get over the hump and really get in a strong reading habit.

My other issue is that I started biking to work a few years ago, instead of taking the train, and I would do most of my reading on the train. My time spent reading has, largely, been replaced by podcasts. And time with my kids.

That's one of my favorite movies of all-time! I need to re-buy the movie though, thanks for the reminder. (One of the movies I lost in the divorce)

The records and Blu-rays I've had a to re-buy are much more painful than the divorce

Damn, that's a bummer. Sorry to hear. They recently added some of Guillermo's works to the Criterion Collection, including Pan's Labyrinth, so definitely get that version!

Got that one for my birthday last year

Talking about reading: highly recommend Ready Player One and the Red Rising series. Both were quick reads because of how entertaining they are. And I always have a soft spot for the Ender's Game book series.
