Not part of the "scene" but the best crowd I've ever been in was probably the floor for Kanye's Saint Pablo tour

garbage, melt banana, lacuna coil chelsea wolfe and butcher babies. All the times i've seen them the crowd has been awesome, friendly and helpful.

I've literally never wanted to be in a crowd more than when I was at this show

Can totally second this. That looked like possibly the most fun pit I have ever seen. Plus Ye being super close is an added bonus

The worst crowd that I've been in was easily Brand New, they have so many shitty fans but one show I went to a guy for some reason spit all over a girl for I guess accidentally bumping into him? She was mad until they started playing "Quiet Things" and she immediately forgot about it and started screaming for the song. I was flabbergasted. That show was particularly bad because when it started people just crammed to the front with no space to move. That was in like a 1500 cap venue. The last 2 times I've seen them were outdoors, which I usually don't like, but it was way better because the pit area was big enough to hang out in without people bothering you. Sorority Noise had a pretty bad crowd last time I saw them but the place was small so I just stood in the back and it was fine.

The worst crowds I ever saw was at Saves the Day, the crowds were so rude. Me and my beautiful intelligent girlfriend had grabbed a table from the bar area before the show and set it up about halfway towards the stage. Everyone kept bumping into our table and brushing against my girlfriend in the pit and knocked my sparkling water over and it went everywhere.

I have no idea. All I know is that that was the lineup given in the Neck Deep headliner thread.

Honestly the best crowd was set tonight at Sleeping with sirens, everyone helped everyone, and I crowdsurfed for the first time, so fun

Worst crowd for me easily was Lana Del Rey at Coachella 2014 weekend 2. Everyone was so hostile and aggressive, I straight up thought I was going to die.

Best crowd was the floor of the Saint Pablo tour

Worst crowd was when I saw brand new open for dashboard with mxpx and vendetta red. Only because I went with my asshole friend and he embarrassed the shit out of me in between every set. Goddamit I should have known about smoking back then.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

worst crowd for me was either Billy Talent when I saw em in a small venue cause people beside me kept trying to literally rip me and trip me off the barricade, or AFI since crowd surfers and pushers kept disrupting everything without watching their feet or any of the other crowd members

best are Circa Survive, Half Moon Run, and MCS for me; everyone knew how to enjoy the songs while simultaneously being respectful of each other at the shows I saw of them

Interestingly enough the most recent Circa show I've been to the crowd was pretty awful haha. I made friends with the guy next to me as we were dead center in the front row (it was a small venue so I was like face-to-balls with Anthony Green the whole time). Some girl and her boyfriend kept trying to barge in between us, at one point she like dug her elbows into both of our sides. I told her next time she should try getting here early if she wants to be in front and she gave me the dirtiest look lol

  20. Worst crowds (I have 2 that piss me off especially):
    1. Four Year Strong - Saw these guys at the RODT Spring Tour. So much unnecessary pushing and there was a guy punching a bunch of us at the barricade. Still worth it since FYS is incredible live.
    2. AFI - Saw them October 2013, right before Burials came out. People in the crowd were rude and drunk, I was only 13 at the time and grown men were purposefully blocking my view.

    Best crowds:
    1. All Time Low - Seen them several times and everyone in the crowd is always so nice. At the last tour, a group of girls yelled at security after Alex picked me for Time Bomb but they wouldn't let me up.
    2. Counterparts - Warped 2017, people in that crowd were so nice. Two very tall guys in front of me asked if I wanted to go in front of them to get a better view.

It's obviously very subjective, but I'm really surprised at some of the worst/best I've seen on here. I saw New Found Glory listed as one of the best crowds. I've seen them a couple dozen times and there are always douchebags in the crowd wishing it was a Shai Hulud show throwing elbows and kicks while Jordan sings "I Don't Wanna Know". To be fair, this is Philly and there are lots of assholes at a lot of shows.

The best crowds I can always count on are The Wonder Years and Into It. Over It. Kevin Devine has a great crowd too, but he puts on such a good show no one can be in a bad mood.

They probably have to wait until the FYS tour is over.

Actually, if we're really that bored, maybe we should make a +/- list of acts. It seems like The Menzingers from this thread is voted one of the best crowds while Bayside is one of the worst. It would be a cool idea to have a sheet of bands where us as a community can go see/support and feel safe in their crowd. Obviously, like you mentioned, you're going to have assholes at every show but at least we can check the list and give them another shot.

It's definitely important to notate why the crowd may be a "bad crowd", I wouldn't want someone to feel deterred to go see a band just because I had a bad experience with some obnoxious mosh bros, but if a pattern of behavior (abuse, harassment, etc.) is found to string between artists' crowds, I think that's definitely information people should have access to so they can make informed decisions on who to support and give their money to.
