Ascension could be one of the best songs ever made. no questions asked. i didnt grab it though, i wissssh. trying to be smart with my money right now like a boring responsible adult haha, i hate it

 

I have a list of like 50 artists I've been meaning to check out and it's really intimidating when they all have full discographies

 

While we're on the topic, anyone who hasn't check out O'Brother needs to immediatly

O'Brother and The Felix Culpa are the two bands where if there is a brand new fan that hasnt listened to them, they arnt really brand new fans.

Just heard Sever Your Roots like a week ago for the first time. So damn incredible

 

Sometimes i feel like listening to music should be my full time job. I would alwaya be busy.

Yea that's a huge issue too. I'm not (and I think most of us here) someone who is satisfied to just listen to a handful of songs. If I'm going to listen, I'm going to really listen, which makes it even harder.

Haha seriously. We should just start like a tastemaking company. We'll listen to music and then people can pay us for our recommendations based off a list of bands they like.

 

thats awesome. its a very dense record. when it first came out it took me a couple listens to "get it" but when it clicked i was like "umm why isnt this as big as Vheissu and stuff?"

 

I saw them open for Manchester right after Death Of Day came out. I'm very fortunate, because I don't see them playing stuff off of it anymore, which is unfortunate. Maybe with their re-release they'll bring some into the mix again

 

I legitimately have guilt about some albums that I absolutely love this year but haven't even given enough time to. SciFi and After Laughter are really the only two that I've been consistent about listening to.

A Black Mile to the Surface and Science Fiction are for sure my top listened to albums this year
