I am still on a 64GB iPhone 6. I know my phone is dated and need to upgrade, but I'm not sure what to go with. I am strongly considering making the leap to a plus. The bigger question for me is waiting for an X, going to an 8, or going with the 7.

I bought a 16 gb 6S on day 1, and I regret that decision since then. The phone is awesome but I should really have bought the 32 gb version. Might be the biggest reason I want to change (the other being that I just love having the new thing)

Jaybird’s first truly wireless headphones have four hours of battery life

JayBirds just announced a AirPods style headphones if that's something you're interested in. I know with the older "wired" Bluetooth pair I have it's got a couple different sizes of the ear canal and ear slot(?) pieces so you can get a better fit for your individual ear.

Also their prices I guess justifies the AirPod pricing in my head as I would have expected Apple to be on the high end of consumer wireless headphones.

This is actually the one product category where Apple is priced on the lower end. If you look at most of the competition in the truly wireless category, they mostly in the $200-300 range with rather poor customer satisfaction.

The Jaybirds sound interesting as their products are geared towards the workout types like myself. My concern is this is their first truly wireless model and that they use purely Bluetooth connection. The W1 chip is a major selling point to me on the Beats and AirPods because I think you will realize a better, more consistent connection on an Apple phone. I also like the AirPods charging case. I just wish there was something like the AirPods, but with the comfort, sound quality (not my favorite, but certainly better than the standard Apple models), and noise cancelling aspect of the Beats lines.

Have you tried on AirPods at a store (town square lol) or anything? I couldn’t use EarPods because they would fall out and just generally hurt my ears, but the AirPods are totally different for me.

I have not tried the AirPods because with being in ear I didn't think you could. Assuming they fit fine, I guess the whole idea if I'm in public on the train, will people hear my audio since they aren't noise cancelling? I don't really pump the volume that loud, but the last pair of Apple headphones I attempted to use seemed like it didn't take much for the noise to leak out.

I’ve never gotten complaints on hearing my music. I’ve even asked to make sure.

Honestly the whole Jaybirds line of headphones are geared towards people who want headphones for running/working out. Granted these seem to have very limited battery life which is a turn off.

    But it's not instant ;)

Saying that you still need to take your glove off to use the phone unless you have some of those touch sensitive gloves.

I work in a pretty quiet office and I haven't gotten any complaints. Heck, most people just stop over and start talking and don't realize I have them in.

Earpods never fit me right, but for some reason the Airpods do.

I just hope they make the Airpod connection just as seamless between iOS and MacOS. Right now if I put my Airpods in and I'm on my Macbook, I still need to go to bluetooth settings and connect. Then the next time I go to connect my Airpods to my phone it doesn't autoconnect - I have to go into bluetooth settings and connect.

In reading up on the Apple Watch S3, I found it interesting/weird that your iPhone can be completely off and you’ll still be able to make/receive calls and data to the watch, but your phone must be powered on to send/receive texts. Surely that means you can send/receive texts as long as your phone is powered on, but not necessarily connected to your watch at the time.

I will have to go test the AirPods out at a store and make a decision at that point.

Now I just need to figure out whether to get an 8 plus or the X. I suppose long shot would be a 7 plus, but I think the 8 would make more sense at this point.

Aaaahhh the more time passes, the more I'm convincing myself to get the X... I'm just searching for things that I don't use anymore to sell and get money.
