Possibly but in this case, this channel, a channel "in decline" nonetheless, is doing everything it can to try and be just a sports news channel. Do you think they are being naive?

All of cable is "in decline" and ESPN is still apart of a cable package owned by Disney that was a $4 billion entity in 2016. They forfeit the right to be "just a news channel" when they cover political issues for the entirety of the last year (Colin Kaepernick) as well as their main driver of content being the NFL, a league so far in bed with the military and everything patriotic that it feels like Roger Goodell is in active military service. I understand your point, domo, but you're arguing something that is just ridiculous. Everyone in here understands that corporations want to be neutral unless it benefits them, but because they're attempting to remain neutral doesn't mean that neutral in this situation is good.
