Doesn't surprise me at all. I once had a guy grab me by my hair and smash my face into the barricade at their show for no reason. Love TBS but man they have some terrible fans...

I've never seen a Story So Far show where there has not been over aggressive pushing and moshing. It's definitely the type of crowd that makes it unavoidable unless you want to stand in the very back. I mean I'm tolerant on a personal level of some pushing and moshing, but their crowds definitely go over the top.

I was front row for Senses Fail at Starland on Halloween a few years back when this guy asked if he could stand in front of me. The guy was much shorter than I was and wanted to see. I told him no and he started to kick me in my legs, elbow me in the back and would try to squash me. After failed attempts to get security's attention, I swung my elbow back and caught him in the mouth. Needless to say, he was respectful the rest of the show. I'm not saying violence is the answer but there's only so much shit I can put up with ESPECIALLY with a guy physically harassing me.

My initial reaction was to make sure she was okay. She's fine. So, I was going to yell at the guy, but some girl who was next to us beat me to it. She decked him in between songs. What a trooper. I didn't really see what happened after that.

At least she's okay, that's all that matters

As far as bad crowds, I saw ADTR and BMTH on the tour they did together back in 2014 and it was legitimately the worst group of people I've ever seen concentrated in one place. Had to pull a belligerently drunk woman in her 30s who was whispering "kiss me" off my friend at the time, who was a 15 year old girl. Balance and Composure and Brand New both had very rowdy bro-y crowds last time I saw each of them with fights breaking out left and right, and last time I saw Hawthorne Heights in a non-warped setting the whole audience was yelling terrible shit at them between every song

I saw BMTH in March and I stood about half way back and wasn't pushed even once, which is kind of surprising in hindsight.

    Things have changed.

Bayside has had, by far, the absolute rudest collection of fans I've ever seen at shows.

omg yes, kid rock's crowd is 2nd worst for me. Number one for me is insane clown posse. I'm not joking. Getting groped, threatened and assaulted by idiot dudes not fun. I don't care if 15 bands i like are on a show with icp never again.

I've only ever had good experiences at ICP shows... also depends what type of 'juggalos' you are around. I used to be huge in to that scene, and there are definitely a few bad apples... but mostly everyone is pretty cool. Sorry you had a bad experience. Also I know it's changed a lot since I was going to their shows regularly

It's a tie between Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional for worst I've seen.

Bayside crowds suck, Brand New crowds usually suck too. Streetlight Manifesto brings out some awful crowds too, at least in Michigan.

Worst crowd for me was Oceano, nobody could see because of the fast strobe lights so people were falling every where

Some people might not agree but I've always liked the Menzingers' fans. Rowdy but respectful is the way to go.

For me the best crowds have easily been Motion City Soundtrack, Every Time I Die, and the Menzingers

one of the crowds i remember most was the dear hunter/deas vail/o'brother, crowd was silent for all three bands except for getting excited or singing along

other good crowds...it really depends on the individual show for some, generally there are bands with good crowds and might have one bad apple ruining it, that's generally the case

It's so funny, when I posed that question, The Menzingers was the first one that came to mind.

Yeah, it varies so much. The worst crowds I have been a part of are TBS, Brand New, and then a lot of the shitty metalcore bands I liked when I was younger. The Copeland show I went to last December had a terrible crowd as well, in terms of being disrespectful to the band.

The best crowds... I don't know. Julien Baker comes to mind, just for how respectful and quiet everyone was. Pinegrove was pretty wonderful. Mitski was great. I'm mostly a fan of crowds who can not only be respectful to one another but be respectful to the band.

I have somehow been very lucky and every time I see The Used I am by fun women who just want to dance and are just genuinely sweet. Plus they hold your spot for you if you gotta pee!!
