Loved it! Normally when I watch movies at home I find myself pausing every so often to do little errands that pop into my head, but I couldn't stop watching.

 

That's awesome! Easily one of my favorite David Fincher movies!

 

@DejaMoi Just finished my first listen of Calm Down, Everything Is Fine. Absolutely loved it! I could hear influences of bands I like/love all over the record! His voice reminds me of the singer of Young The Giant in a lot of places.

Late to the party but I've only seen Zodiac once late at night. I believe I fell asleep during it, but I'm clearly due for a rewatch based on everyone raving about it, and my love of Fincher

So happy to hear that you enjoyed it! I feel the same way about hearing influences about bands/artists that I enjoy throughout the record. And yeah I love his voice but couldnt think of who it reminded me of maybe it's the YTG singer I'm still not sure. I'm playing OWEL now after seeing your post. Their ep first then i will spin the 2 albums. And I played that Mike Mains album last night after sending you that post haha. I love doing that when i rec something knowing that the person will prob listen to it. Makes me want to listen to my own recommendation lol

I should also mention that before they changed their name to OWEL, they were called Old Nick and released an EP under that name. Personally I think it's also excellent but I'm a sucker for Jay's voice so I like everything he does. Sharing the bandcamp link but it's also on apple music/spotify. I ended up buying it to complete my collection since they rereleased it on vinyl in 2014 under OWEL.

 

Garrett still sounds so good. I love this song

Yup! Got pulled into a meeting, so only made it halfway through first track unfortunately.

 

I've liked 451 since the release, but I never truly loved it until seeing the videos of the last two performances.

 

@DejaMoi Not sure if all of their music is like this but on "Snowglobe" I'm getting some serious Sigur Rós vibes

 

Only on "Burning House" so far but holy shit I need this record on vinyl

 

You'll want Dear Me too once you hear that one as well. I'm very glad to own both!
