I try my best to do a Ron Howard impression but I can't stack up to a legend

 

Empire Line is a really tough song to listen to. I've been in a long distance relationship for almost two years now, and we haven't physically met yet. We've had a lot of setbacks and the date has been pushed back many times. It's hard but both of us are understanding and patient. Just hearing "I've been talking about you to myself, cause there's nobody else / and I want what I want / and I want everything" brings some of our recent conversations to mind. We talk about our future like we can click our fingers and make it happen now - we want a cute little house full of music stuff everywhere, but we need a backyard because we want two dogs to have space to play. It's not easy picturing a future we want very much but can't happen for a while, and we're not sure when it will. I would never ask him to move here and I can't leave either. We're trying to "find a way" every day. I'm trying not to think too far ahead right now and just focus on when we meet instead, I know that when we do; all the effort, persistence and patience will be worth it.

Sorry for bringing all this up. I don't hear many songs that reflect my current frame of mind, sure, songs reflect my past all the time, but this song brought up thoughts that never leave my mind for long. What a powerful band

Finally dived into this. I haven't had power for two days now (stupid hurricane) so I haven't been able to listen. This album is really something else."Walk It Back" is really interesting and I'm currently digging "Dark Side Of The Gym" a bunch. About to start the titled track.

 

Superb album - Much better than the one paced filler-fest that was TWFM
