I don't think I'm gonna make it thru this semester and I'm questioning finishing school at all. Then again I think that almost every semester, but who knows

2nd to last semester of business school. No stress this year except for the whole finding a job part

 

the college is closed tomorrow and friday because of the hurricane and people are like hunkering down and stores are out of water and gas but fuck if my online classes still don't have hella shit due.
Like our state is about to be underwater, can you not?

 

this is almost comical in illustrating how absurd colleges are but it's not it's just absurd and fucked up and i hope you stay safe and the class situation is resolved in a way that works for you

 

right? they're like "campuses are closed but these assignments are online so there's no reason you can't get them done"

okay so if we lose power....? like yeah we could do them now but people are evacuating and shit.
It seems absurd to me to have a paper and video project due ON the day a category 4 hurricane is supposed to hit us.

 

i'm sure they're justifying it with "it's been on the syllabus all this time!" or some other load of shit. fuck your hurricane, the syllabus is god

have you tried reaching out to professors?

 

Wait, like...I get that "they're due" according to the website, but are they actually expected to be turned in? Cause that's ridiculous.

 

exactly. It's "you've known about this" which isn't really fair especially for the paper because we had to turn it in one piece at a time and wait for feedback before moving on. So we couldn't really work ahead ya know?

oh yeah. Both professors made it very clear.

WOO ok so after posting in here I went to our online portal site and I guess they announced today that since the college is closed through monday, nothing is due through then either. And we won't be told new due dates until after they reopen, so they can't just say "okay it's due today" once they reopen. I mean at this point we have no idea when it will reopen. Planning for tuesday but realistically shit could happen and the campus could have to close for an extended period. Who knows.

 

Working on a paper that's due in an hour lol. God, I haven't changed at all haha.
