Back sorry guys. Went and saw IT

 

Welcome back! The chaos has died down a bit.

 

Off topic: Went to see Brand New at The Warfield in San Francisco last night. The band is tight and well-rehearsed in a way they haven't been for sometime now. New material fits seamlessly with their old hits and the light show, as evidenced from the San Bernardino show, is a sight to behold. I can say with full confidence that if you were on the fence about getting tickets to this tour, take the plunge.

Relistened to these songs today to get a clear idea of how I wanted to vote. Originally I was planning on voting ATB, but Gasoline really stuck out to me on my last listen. I love the imagery of the lyrics, and how my speakers feel like they're being destroyed at certain parts. It's also one of their strongest live songs, especially when they have multiple drummers.

I love Bought A Bride. Lyrics, Vin's guitar licks, the bassline. But I think Vices is just a hair better. It may not be their best opener, but I think it's their most memorable if that makes sense. I'll never forget how shocked I was when it kicked in on my first listen. The groove of the song really stands out to me, even though there's so much chaotic guitar work going on. Tough vote, but I'm going Vices.

Very excited for the SciFi round, i know it's so far been pretty well received on this site but i'm interested to see where everyone lands on some songs

At the Bottom (it was tough, but At the Bottom pops into my head all the time, so I feel like I must like it more. I agree with whoever said that it feels like a quintessential Brand New song.)
