It's the strangest thing I've ever seen, and I travel a lot.

 

Haha its funny because that is exactly the reaction I got from people in Texas when I suggested walking places.

My fiancee lived a 10 minute walk from her work. I never understood why she drove to work. One day I offered to walk to meet her and her co-workers for lunch. She thought I was crazy but I insisted. She told her co-workers and they thought I was crazy, too.

On that 10 minute walk I almost sweat out my body weight because it was 100 degrees. And I almost died a few times walking through crosswalks.

I made her drive me home after the lunch because I didn't want to walk again haha.

EDIT: For reference, at the time my fiancee lived on Lemon Ave. Right by the Rustic. So I was walking across 75.

 

Texas is not a very walking state period and public transportation is questionable.

 

The Celtics will have to wait. Got a ticket to see Scream live with Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich at the Alamo Drafthouse!

 

Wait. Wait.

That is LITERALLY my dream evening. I can't even describe how jealous I am right now. I just. I can't. Please, please, please enjoy it enough for the both of us.

 

Enjoy! I love Alamo Drafthouse haha. Also have no idea where to watch NBA today when it's NFL draft day and Dallas is very football centric.

I still don't get why people get excited about watching the draft. Just read about it when it's over!

 

Was it? I just bought a ticket an hour ago and there were still 4 other seats left then. I hope they didn't double book!

I'll probably get to one day of it, it'll just depend on the forecast. Storms scare me.

And thanks y'all! First time at an Alamo Drafthouse, but I've heard great things.

 

The Alamo Drafthouse is incredible. Honestly, if I could, I wouldn't see a movie anywhere else.

I thought I checked a few days ago and it was sold out, but maybe I just decided it was too expensive/ I should save money for stuff at the convention

If you go on Saturday, I will be there with my 6 year old, haha

 

The anticipation makes it fun! Plus it's fun to see everyone in the war rooms argue and get mad.

 

But man there's actual sports being played elsewhere

It's also been a long time since I've been excited about football

 

This is how my wife and I feel. We won't go to a movie anywhere else unless it's the drive-in. Only downside and reason we haven't been in awhile is we have a 7 month old.

 

It has been the worst part of my fiancee finally moving to Chicago. Every time that I visited, we would catch a movie at the Drafthouse.

I would do just about anything for them to open up one here.

 

The NFL is the only full league I can keep up with since games and such are once a week for each team. Other sports I can only watch my team since games are so frequent.

 

Only sports team that matters is the Rangers everything else is worthless

 

The things you do for love huh?!

 

Rangers are the big one but right now we need to show love for Stars as well

 

How are they doing?

 

Just won their first playoff series since 08

 

i only grew up a baseball fan so never had much interest in anything else

 

I forgot how awful traffic from Dallas to Fort Worth is. My bald spot probably got stronger from that drive.

Mavs and Stars are both really good teams

I kinda like to see the Cowboys do poorly lol whoops
