I can't wait for this album.

 

Damn, that's an awesome track. The production on these songs is slaying.

 

These songs have me so much more stoked than Sonic Highways

 

I don't even count Sonic Highways as an actual Foos record tbh

 

It's okay. I won't be screaming to hear this in 5 years, but I like how Kurstin has pulled Dave's vocals back a great deal. Listen to "Best of You" to hear what I mean as Dave is usually in front of everything, along with the guitars. By pulling Dave back, that allows Kurstin (and Dave) to do more vocal layering, counter melodies, harmonies etc. than you'd usually hear Foo Fighters do. So, at this point, I'm glad the producer change was made. Butch Vig is a legend, but their collaborations hit a wall creatively. So, a pop sensibility was the best thing for this rock band right now, especially in a pop and hip-hop driven landscape. However, I really hope the term "weirdest" is true when it comes to Taylor and Homme's description of "Concrete and Gold." Foos' tours will always sell out so why not experiment at this point in your career as long as you write a couple 'Foo Fighters' singles to keep their corporate partners satisfied.

Honestly really optimistic for this album. All 3 singles have been really cool and feel fresh.

 

The track I'm most looking forward to is the one with justin Timberlake on it

 

I feel like from the way his guest spot is described it'll be pretty small and something you have to kind of listen for... a full JT verse would be dope though lmao

 

i really love "The Line" the chords they used give me the feels

 

These new songs are so good. I didn't think they could top Wasting Light, but this seems to be heading that way.

 

I personally could not care less for a Justin Timberlake cameo but excited for the album regardless

 

Yeah, I would expect the JT appearance to be no bigger than Ben Gibbard's cameo on "Sonic Highways" aka not much.

 

It'd be cool if it were along the lines of the Bob Mould feature. Dude killed it on Rosemary. I think this'll be way more subtle though if what Dave said in that interview was true

 

Timberlake only contributed some La Las.

 

These three singles are honestly some of their strongest in years imo... extremely hyped for next week.

 

This can leak any day now......

 

Based on those 3 songs alone, this is already gonna be their best since Wasting Light for me so far.

 

Not a huge feat considering there is one album in between the two. But this does have me hyped.

 

Well I was counting Saint Cecelia in there as well, but fair point.
