Haha to be fair I'm very forgiving on these kinds of things. I mean the entire show was about Ted's love for Robin. If they had let it go properly in like Season 6, I wouldn't be mad, but this was literally ongoing until the last few episodes of the season. I just don't think it would've been any more satisfying to just have it end with Ted meeting a character we had literally only known for a season.

I don't know a lot of my favorite parts were in season 4 and 5. But I really think the whole show is flawless until season 8, and even then I don't think it ever got bad.

 

The finale ruined the entire show for me. I doubt I'll ever purposefully watch another episode again.

 

I think more people would watch it if it was on Netflix haha

 

Obligatory I'm from Jersey and have to include it on that basis alone hahaha. I haven't finished bc I bought the discs and a bunch of mine are scratched :/

Idk it would've been more annoying to me if I was expected to believe that after 8 years of being head over heels in love with Robin he just magically got over it the weekend of her wedding because he let a balloon fly up in the sky, but that's still the show's fault. They should've had him get over Robin in like Season 6 and let it die. I do see how people really hate it though.

Tbtotallyh while I'd grade more than one season in the A range I think 2 alone is perfect, and a clear step above even 3. It's probably the greatest sitcom season ever in my mind. I'm sure someone can point out something crazy that happens that hurts my point here but the show was at its best for me when it was grounded harder in reality, and season 1&2 stand pretty much alone in that regard.

 

seeing a ton for dexter, I made it to the final season and stopped halfway through, maybe one day I'll finish

 

first 4 seasons I thought were fantastic.

By season 5 though it started to decline really quickly

 

Recently I've really enjoyed Love and Master Of None. Way too early to call them favorites, though.

 

I love The Office. I've watched it at least 4 times through. I don't watch season 1.

 

They tried to show him getting over/moving past Robin multiple times throughout the show which was annoying enough and then trying to convince us it was finally over so he could meet the mother just to have it brought straight back up at the end was insulting, it essentially meant he still loved her the entire time he was with the mother and she was barely a footnote in the whole thing. It just went against everything I thought the show was about and it left an eternal bad taste in my mouth, ha.

 

You're the Worst is probably the newest show I'd already consider one of my all time favourites.

I'd add eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind to my list actually

 

The way they present and touch on the subject of mental health in their episodes is absolutely beautiful.

I'll still edit it but I doubt there's many people out there who are just starting up that show now.

 

There are moments in season 2 that are as affecting to me as anything I've ever seen on television.

 

Probably top ones would be cowboy Bebop, flcl, yu yu hakusho, neon genesis evangelion (GOAT), kids on the slope, k-on!, Sailor Moon, death note, gurren lagan and the most formative of all influences, dragon Ball z lol. This is a mix of favorites and ones I love bc childhood even if I wouldn't call them great.
